I don’t ever write reviews, but i want people to know that the ambi safety does not work. I disregarded other reviews thinking it’s just a safety selector how can it not work but it just doesn’t.

I'm giving this two stars because the all the parts worked except for the ambi safety and one of the main reasons I purchased this kit was for the ambi safety. I tried different detents and springs to make it work, but it would not budge when installed. I looked at the machining where the groove is for the detent and it looked much thinner than a standard safety. I tried two different safety's with the same detent and spring and they worked fine. I bought a $12 ambi safety on sale by Are Stoner and it worked flawlessly. Another reviewer had the same issue so if your here for the ambi safety know that there may be a chance it may not work. I used an Aero lower for this build.

I absolutely hate writing bad review but this needs it. This was purchased because of the ambi safety. (Which by the way, get a 60% throw safety or if shooting left handed the safety will cut into your hand. A 60% throw safety fixes that problem) After installing the takedown and pivot pins, they were very difficult to move in and out unless you used a screwdriver to break it loose. This is totally unacceptable for field use. The detents were drilled too deep basically locking the pin in the full in position. The last part I installed was the ambi-safety. After install and rotating the safety to the safe position, the safety would not move from that position. It was essentially locked in the safe position. Once again the detent was drilled too deep. What good is a safety if you can't fire the gun. After calling to see if I could get a new safety, they said I had to return all of the parts, not just the defective parts. Wow! Now I have to completely undo all of the work I just did. Keep the $$$, I Will never buy Trybe parts again.

Most of the parts were adequate and fit well the only parts that did not work at all was the ambi safety selector related parts. It did not move in at all once it was set in. Not sure if it was a faulty selector or if the spring is too stiff.

Overall the kit is "ok", but unfortunately some parts did not work and made the experience little less enjoyable when I had to order replacement parts to replace the faulty ones.

1. Mag release was smooth and had NO threads on it to screw the button onto.
2. The front take down pin was too short. Once installed it fell slightly inside the opposite loop of the lower. I had to use a punch to gain leverage to push it back through to remove it..
3. The ambi safety selector didnt work at all! If you press it firm agains the side of the lower while installing it will flip on and of BUT the moment you stop pushing it against the lower the selector slides out and then it locks in place and can not be moved..

I was really excited to recieve this, its a shame of this turned out.. It is crazy that so many of these parts dont work. Where is the quality control?

I just received my lower parts kits and after assembling most of it, find that the magazine release has NO THREADS on it.. So I’m completely stuck unable to finish my build. Not sure how the button has threads but the release is completely smooth...? The rest of the parts seem ok, I guess... Really worried about the quality Now

I have purchased and examined many parts kits in the past and I was greatly amazed in the quality with this one compared to the others, to include yes I said it CMMG. Don't seem to be the standard knock offs that many are getting from China. Very, very pleased with quality and fit and finish especially the ambi safety and take down pins. And this from a guy who never leaves ratings! GOOD!
