Best budget upper on the market PERIOD! Features and craftsmanship on this upper are in line with uppers that are 2x the price. Significantly better quality than other uppers you will find in this price range from Bear Creek, PSA, etc. Very happy with my purchase.

Excellent Upper

I own this upper and absolutely love it. I enjoyed it so much I ordered the Trybe charging handle and the upgraded nickel boron bcg from Trybe. This upper now functions better than uppers 3 times the price. Extremely smooth and accurate. I encourage anyone to give Trybe a try. I switched all my BCGs in my 223/556/300AAC rifles over to the Trybe nickel boron bolt that 40 dollar upgrade was a drastic improvement. I can't speak for everyone but I am definitely a Trybe Defense fan.

Barrel & upper fine. Barrel Shroud: "Ouch!"

This upper assembly is pretty well built. Everything seems tight and within spec. Have not fired it yet. I do not like the barrel shroud, however. Lots of sharp edges and large holes along the top and bottom at the 45, 135, 225 & 315 angled edges. Will probably need to find something better.

Kinda Disappointed

It's a good upper. Except the untreated 4140 steel barrel is now rusting. Gas block set screws have perma loctite, making it impossible to remove. Whonever thought of that, I loath you entirely. So now I either have to take a torch to cut it off, or get a whole new barrel nut and handguard just to replace the barrel. I wouldn't recommend it really. It's one of those "You get what you pay for"

Good For The Money

I have not put many rounds through it. It looks good and shoots good so far. I gave it a four star for minor defects like dimpling in the hand guard and the dust cover spring is so stiff it can be difficult to charge. I think that will break in with use though. You get what you pay for and this is a good budget option.
