Super-effective brake, reduces majority of .223 muzzle jump!
Perfect brake for a target gun, too heavy for field use. Unbelievable effectiveness in reducing recoil to the shoulder.
Not a chunk of metal with some milling in it that anyone can do, but a meticulously designed brake specifically made to reduce the maximum amount of recoil possible, and it does that well. This is a gorgeous muzzle brake and obviously quite sophisticated. The angles on the internal shoulders on this are a thing of beauty. The functionality of this piece has turned into art. After a few hundred rounds, look at the symmetry of the escaping gas fouling in the four sections of the brake, it's beautiful. It comes with shims, which is a better way than a crush washer to install a precision muzzle device. It has a flat on top of the brake and is easy to install and time. I will be using another one of these on an upcoming 6.5 Grendel build and expect to not lose any targets through my scope upon recoil. This is an impressive looking product that has maximum recoil-reducing properties. But it's loud and the concussion is ever-present. The blast will certainly get your attention and maybe the shooters beside you. Super-effective brake.

This product is awesome. I wanted to wait until I shot it to make my review. Straight out of the package it looked really good you could tell it was built well, built to last. I have an FRT trigger in my ar set up (if you don’t know what that is look it up. Buy one while you can. They are awesome.)....

Solid muzzle break!
Slapped this on a shorty 300 blk that was walking and rising when rapid firing. After install, a lot less rise and walk. The concussion is not bad and the range neighbors didn't complain. No gas to the face either. Overall, for the money, this is a solid option.

Bad Muzzle Break !!
This muzzle break does not perform like they advertise. The factory one on my Ruger 338 Lapua Prcission works much better. Leave the factory one on and you will be much happier. Also the factory one does not come off easy. They say 50 lbs of torque, more like 250. Ruined the lo k nut getting it off.

Does help with recoil but is heavy and bulky. There are other similar options that perform better but it is ok.

Should be stainless
Decent brake. It is big and heavy but certainly does reduce recoil. I'm not a big fan of the shining to time it, but it does work. The big problem is it is made of steel and can rust, in fact the first one came pre rusted and I had to return and order another.

Great Product, Not-So-Great Shipping & Packaging
This muzzle brake is a great choice at a fantastic price, especially considering it’s currently being sold for around $60, a huge drop from its regular price of over $130. I'm not sure if this new price is temporary or will stick, but if you can get it within that $50-$60 range, it's a very good product for its kind.
The brake does its job effectively and is straightforward to install. It comes with a supplied shim package, which is used to time the unit correctly. Note that it does not come with a locking nut at the base. You have to adjust the provided shims until you can hand-tighten the unit against the shoulder of your barrel's threads and have the muzzle brake timed correctly.
My only problem with this purchase was not with the product itself, but with the shipping from OpticsPlanet. They sent the muzzle brake in a flimsy plastic envelope instead of a box or a padded mailer. The cardboard box it was placed in had collapsed entirely and was torn, and the steel muzzle brake was poking holes through the plastic bag. It was only by a miracle that everything was still in the bag and nothing fell out.
OpticsPlanet definitely needs to improve its shipping and packaging system. While the product is great, the way it was shipped could have easily resulted in a lost or damaged item.

6.5 Creedmoor
Put this on an 6.5 Creedmoor AR-10 and it eliminated nearly all the recoil. And the design fits perfect with the look of my rifle as well
