I pulled the trigger and ordered this when I saw this after reading a few reviews. While waiting for delivery, I read a few more that I do not agree with. I used anti-seize on the barrel nut. Hand installed the nut, on & off. I first tried a barrel bar to torque the nut, but it didn't have a good " feel." I switched to a block that holds the upper through the breakdown pins. Ahh, my Snap-on wrench felt much better. I ran the 8-32 screws by hand on and off a few times and then installed it on the nut. This is lightweight, so I slowly tighten and alternately tighten them. I appreciate how light and awesome it looks.

Very lightweight but it is longer than description. Closer to 7.25 inches long. I’m still waiting for parts my barrel but this may become an issue as I am running. 7.5” 300blk and a banish suppressor so it may interfere so the the suppressor.

A+ fit, feel and finish. Quality is good and it's crazy lightweight. The anti rotation tabs are a big plus!

super light. fits perfectly and no issues at all with the barrel nut or screws. looks awesome on my AR build. the color is not deep black, its little bit lighter with a bit of gray and its matte. I would put it up against products two times the price.

Very lightweight. Quality looks decent. Will be switching out another for this one and see how comfy it is to use.

It's light, it keeps your hand off the barrel, and you like the way it looks. The value is there.

Firstly I would like to emphasize how light this rail is, not much more than the clear plastic wrap it is packaged in. Actually the manufacturer box weighs more than the rail and barrel nut combined. Which leads me to the second point of the barrel nut being made of this aluminum. I cannot say if this will be a weak link in the future or not? Personally I would rather it been made of machined steel but I guess time and usage will tell. This rail is also super small in diameter compared to my other shrouds, measuring around less than 1 5/8” so may want to keep that in mind for suppressor usage. The FDE ceracoat is a little thin but matches really well with most name brand accessories also in FDE. The overall appearance is nicely machined and I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase another, but if your going to be really aggressive and rough handling your rifle you may want to look at a more robust rail other than this. Finally my reasoning for giving 4 stars is because of how thin the metal, and barrel nut are. If you’re focused on staying super lightweight, compact, low profile and not a battle proof hand rail then this may just be your economical option.

Want to cut some weight off my ar15. The handguard and barrel nut are super light. I haven't installed it yet but know it will help.

It's a great handguard. Very lightweight. I didn't have any issues with it.
