Most Helpful Negative Review Barrel Nut is Out-of-Spec
The threads on the barrel nut were not cut deep enough. Therefore, the receiver's threads will bottom out, which will result in stripping of the aluminum threads. Nearly Perfect!

Bought a 9" and a 12" the machine work on the 9" front top forward corners were left sharp and square, the 12" was machined a little better and not left with sharp corners, looks great in my 12.5" barrel. The color of the two both match my spikes tactical reciever finish well. Very light weight. For the sale price I paid about $70 I highly recommend either.

Trybe I like most of your products, I think you're on par with other companies in the same arena but you keep missing the details that are going to cause customers to drop you. My biggest gripe is how gentle I was with the handguard install, and when im ready to attach my rifle sling with QD swivel mounts. I was left with pure anger and disappointment. Hey QA/QI department! You have to be detailed and on par or better to make an impact! Otherwise, what are we doing here folks?

QD HOLES TOO SMALL

I recently bought the 12" TRYBE ultra light handguard and I really like it because of the weight and it seems very durable, but I deducted one star because of the QD mount holes being too small. I tried all of my QD attachments and none of them could fit, making those QD attachment holes unusable. I don't know if all TRYBE handguards QD attachment holes are the same or I mine slipped through quality control. The QD hole measures 8.70mm and the standard QD attachement holes in my other handguards are about 9.50mm.

Cons:
  • QD attachment doesn't work on any of the QD swivels I have.

Super nice and light

I really like this hand guard. The only con are the screws. The screws are 10-32 threads x 5/8 long, but the heads are sticking out too much. I think a better alternative would be to use pan head hex/torx screws. That’s what I replaced mine with.

This hand guard is good quality and was easy to install! It has a different pattern than most and I really like the top rail, which has both picatinny and m-lok. The price was better than most similar products as well.

These handguards are super light weight and the cerakote paint is an added bonus! And the magnite barrel nuts save a bunch of unneeded weight on my build!!! 10/10 recommend

Out of spec

Others have mentioned the barrel nut and now I'm here to report that the QD holes are grossly undersized. My sling, Magpul MS4, fits all my other guns, but not this forearm. I guess I have to drill my brand new forearm because the mfg couldn't be bothered.
