not gassed properly
if you plan to shoot supers than this barrel is fine, although this barrel with the 1/5 twist rate at 7.5 inches is specifically designed for shooting suppressed. If you are setting up this barrel for suppression and shooting subsonic ammo, you will have to drill out the gas port. the gas port does ...

Not bad BUT.....
Like the guy said in the last review. It seems to be a Faxon barrel but ones that must not have met their QC standards or something. As the gas port journal size seems to be too small for subsonic. Looks to be standard .90 +/- ....so while you can take the risks with drill a bigger port, the actual Faxon barrels are only $40-$50 more..this seems like a good cheaper alternative to the Faxon barrels, I'd only purchase them if you're okay with that or only running supers. I saw nothing wrong with the barrel itself and seemed to be made well. I support Optics Planets efforts here for starting their own budget company (TRYBE DEFENSE) but some things need to be addressed and corrected..(can be misleading).

would be perfect
In order to get perfect gas block/gas port alignment, I had to shave off 20 thou off the gas block )muzzle side). If not the muzzle device would have sat against the gas block.

Excellent barrel, outstanding price point
I compared this to the Faxon in the same configuration (I own other Faxon's as well) and I believe this to be a re-branded Faxon. Same material, profile, twist, finish, I.D. fonts...just different logos and a $60 price difference. I scoped the barrel while installing the gas block abd aside from a small burr at the gas port (easily removed with a brass cleaning brush) the bore looked fantastic.
