Most Helpful Positive Review Great 22 Barrel
Varmints ye be warned! Picked up the fluted bull barrel model. Quarter sized groupings at 50+ yards. Maybe it was a silver dollar… No larger than a squirrel's nut. Installation was quick and simple. Measured about 7.5oz lighter than my factory barrel. No buyer’s remorse. Price was fantastic. Great for plinking in the yard and hunting small pests. Accurate and looks nice

Trybe 22lr Ruger 10/22 Bull Barrel

by aleckn, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 9, 2025
So for so good. It was a bit of a tight fit to install, had to get to the point the barrel clamp would reach and then use it to finish install. Accuracy seems good with 40 gr bullets seems to like the high velo stuff. Shot like 40 rounds and it didn't even warm the barrel. I'd recommend it.

Does not fit a Ruger 10/22 Carbine Receiver

by Dave-in-Texarkana, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 26, 2024
I tried 2 of these. The finish is fine, but the 'butt' of the barrel that inserts into the receiver is too large in diameter. The OEM is 17.45mm and this item is 17.60mm. I tried to reach the company but their website says 'contact the seller' - couldn't find any support email or phone number. I did buy the other model of this that says 'heavy', this one is pencil, and the heavy fit my Ruger 10/22 Target well. I was shooting MOA groups at 100 yrds with it. I cannot recommend this barrel due to poor QA I assume.

Cons:
  • does not fit OEM receiver

Did not for the Ruger 10/22 receiver, not a real bull barrel

by Dave-in-Texarkana, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on November 20, 2024
Product description uses both the words bull barrel and pencil barrel, this is deceiving. It is not a true bull barrel but a standard pencil barrel. I got a different one for my 10/22 target that uses the words bull and heavy and is a bull barrel and fit correctly. I retuned this for replacement and waiting to see if the new one fits, that it was just poor QC on the first one. Receiver end was 46.74mm while the OEM barrel is 45.54mm. I will update this positively if the new one fits. So far OP service is good, just put me behind 2 more weeks.

Measure base dimensions before trying to install!

by dmtnhwkc, Verified Owner from CO, United States Written on November 3, 2024
Diameter of base that inserts into my receiver was tight. Too tight. Maybe 1/1000"-2/1000" over specs. I appreciate snug, but this was too tight. I feared I would damage the muzzle or crack the receiver, but I was too stubborn/committed and kept on (too late to undo). It stopped with a 1/32" gap between receiver and base of bull barrel. This barrel can never come out. Thankfully, the thread protector at the muzzle is very robust. I feared I had damaged the muzzle/crown or receiver, but I committed to testing for accuracy/functionality first. Now the good news. It shot 3/4" groups at 50 yards, it looks good, finish is really good. I like the black nitride finish on stainless steel, which complements my stainless steel-look receiver. Feeding was flawless. No ejection problems. Be sure to check dimensions of your receiver and the barrel with a micrometer before you stubbornly try to install your barrel. Would've been rated 5 except for base dimensions.
