Most Helpful Positive Review Ultradot 6 doesn't disappoint
I've owned Ultradot sights in the past and always been VERY satisfied (I have a 10+ year old 25mm Ultradot that still works as good as new.). When I recently obtained a new AR rifle and started shopping for a red dot sight this was one of the first I looked at. It certainly delivers and is everyth...

Most Helpful Negative Review Two duds, two months apart
I bought one of these and immediately returned it because the light shut off on certain intensity settings and was cutting out on others. On top of that, the cords that hold the "bikini" style polarizing lens caps in place were so long that you could rotate one of the lenses 180 degrees and there w...

Fits Mini-14 30mm scope rings. Very solid RDS.

by ScottsBad, from CA, United States Written on August 5, 2017
I have had two of these for several years. Great optic for the right application. If you have an AR and some 30mm scope rings perfect. If you want to put an RDS on your Mini-14, this sight works perfectly with the Ruger supplied 30mm rings.

High quality RDS made in JAPAN not China. I put one on my Mini-14 tactical and it fits like it was made for the rifle. Holds zero perfectly and provides different dot sizes and reticles without losing zero. I've been using the same battery for a couple years, but you should turn it off when you are done to save battery.

The other UltraDot 6 I have is mounted in a Burris PEPPR (?) mount. Had to do slight mod to the front mount ring with a dremel which took all of 5 minutes to grind a small bevel in the front ring for the front housing of the UD6.

Now that it is in the Burris PEPPR mount we swap it from rifle to rifle and I lend it to friends who have never tried a RDS. The the UD6 works perfectly. Sometimes I even have a hard time getting it back when I lend it out. LOL Sight is great for .22s and kids love the different reticles too. Uses a common and cheap 2032 battery.

I have several Aimpoints and Trijicons, but this scope has worked well especially on the Mini-14. The cons? Well, over the years things have moved forward and the battery life and size/weight has been reduced in the Mini Red Dots. My UD6s have been reliable and I have been very pleased with the quality. If you have a Mini-14 the UD6 is a pretty good option an...

Ultra Dot 6

by Ted, from MI, United States Written on March 22, 2015
This sight was the perfect compliment to a gun that I use for stalking/jump-shooting deer in standing corn. Excellent quality and very quick target acquisition! Long battery life and weather-proof are a must in my latitude. I own an earlier version of the Ultra Dot on a Ruger Charger and have had GREAT fun with the grandson plinking away.
