Most Helpful Positive Review Excellent Red Dot Sight
Excellent sight so far. I shoot silhouette with this sight, so I adjust the elevation setting among 25, 50, 75 and 100 yards. Repeatable adjustment is paramount and this sight has it. I also alternate between a scope and the Ultradot and when I put the Ultradot back on, it is good to go with no a...

Most Helpful Negative Review This model has problems
I like red dots. I have other non-HD model Ultradots, and thought this one would also be good. However, the mount does not securely attach to a Weaver base. I tried it with two different bases, and actually returned it to Ultradot to see if something could be done. I assumed they would stand beh...

Decent red dot, but not a good value...

by Nick, Verified Owner from MI, United States Written on June 13, 2019
This red dot seems to be “good” on accounts, except that it’s optically slightly inferior to the Sig Romeo 5 of which I have much experience with. The problem is as of 6/19 you can purchase a Romeo for $119, whereas this Ultradot runs $264. Unless the weight difference of 5g or aesthetics really matter that much to you, I would not consider this a wise purchase.
Pros:
  • Clean aesthetic
Cons:
  • Overpriced
Best Used for:
  • Pistol and compact/lightweight firearms.

Ultradot HD-Micro

by Steve, Verified Owner from FL, United States Written on August 5, 2017
Great sight. Use this sight for bullseye shooting on a pistol. First time using this sight. Seems to work just fine, easy to mount and sight in with the windage and elevation having a positive click when adjusting. I did notice that parallax free at 100m. probably wouldn't have purchased this sight due to only shooting to 50m in bulls eye. But haven't noticed any issue with the parallax. Seems to work just fine.
Pros:
  • Mounting
  • ajustments
Cons:
  • None

Awesome sight

by Rich C., from NH, United States Written on February 1, 2017
I have this sight mounted on a Weihrauch HW75 pellet target pistol. This is a relatively large and heavy pistol. The light weight and small size of this sight is certainly an asset. Easily sighted in for 10 meter comp. shooting. Very pleased! I now know that if I miss the target it's not the gun or the sight, it's the loose nut behind the trigger.

Ultradot HD micro

by jm, from AR, United States Written on May 23, 2016
Pros - the size and the mount

Really like the integrated mount - probably the best feature. Not sure about the electronic brightness adjustment, prefer the adjustments on the UD 25 and Matchdot better.

IF any chance you could use or want two red dots, I would recommend getting the Ultradot Matchdot or Matchdot II first. This way you can try out the 2moa without being stuck with 2moa.

I have a several UltraDots - the matchdot, the regular 25, the earlier version l/t (the new one has Push Button Brightness Adjustment, Brightness Memory) and now the HD-Micro. If the size of sight doesn't matter I would recommend one of the matchdots before the HD-Micro. Next the Ultradot 25 are a great sight and hard to beat on price when compared to the HD. If you need the smallest I would recommend the lt. I'm going to move the sight off the ruger pistol and see how I like it on a 10/22.

by McHandsome, from NJ, United States Written on February 18, 2016
Shipping was quick and on time.
Had another dot that was on back order forever and decided to go with this instead. I am very happy I ended up switching.
Dot is clear and the controls are as simple as it gets.

I ordered this for a new S&W22

Ultradot HD-Micro 28mm Red Dot Sight

by Joe, from NC, United States Written on April 2, 2015
Mounted on my new Ruger Mark III .22 Hunter and helped greatly to improve my accuracy and target acquisition. Compared to several other similar red dot sites and very satisfied I bought this one which has some very nice features not found on others. I can also mount on the rail of my turkey shotgun during gobbler season.

Great little sight

by Rich, from PA, United States Written on December 26, 2014
This is my second HD-Micro, so I obviously like the product. The first has been on my 22 pistol for about 8 months and seen over 3000 rounds go down the barrel. The smaller dot and narrower tube improved my accuracy noticeably over my first cheap BSC. This second dot has been on my .45 for just 30 rounds or so and appears to work as well as the first. Indoors I comfortably use the lowest brightness, and outdoors I bump it up to four. The only negative is the fact the you hold down a microswitch for three seconds or so to turn the unit off. It is sometimes annoying because you can't really tell when the switch is depressed, since it is located under a rubber protector and the switch is very small. You hold what you think is the switch for what you think might be three seconds while looking through the sight. If the dot does not go away, you reposition your finger and try again. Also, you can not determine if the sight is turned on without actually looking through it and attempting to locate the dot. Other than these minor issues, this sight has improved my shooting considerably and held up well.

so far so good

by Brian, from MA, United States Written on November 12, 2014
I have put this dot on a 22 cal bullseye pistol. I like the single point mounting, and the fact that there are no rings to fuss with. I have shot about 500 rounds with it so far and the zero is holding very well. I bought this item mostly because of the 2 m.o.a. dot, and it looks to be a true 2 m.o.a. dot, nice and small. My only consern with this unit is that the dot is not round, it is more of a star shape, and the shape of the dot gets a little more irregular as you run the brightness up. I feel this is a very good product for the money. I have always be happy with Ultradot.
