I put the device on my Remington 700 AAC SD in .308 to reduce recoil. I recommend this muzzle device if your priority is recoil reduction, prior to installing the device I would lose the target in my scope after breaking the shot, with it installed, I can watch the round impact through the scope. But just like most if not all compensators, it is loud and you will not make any friends at the range with the concussion that it produces. The shooter definitely feels the concussion (wind) in his/her face upon shooting. Overall I am happy with this comp, it accomplished what I wanted, extreme recoil reduction.
