Scott's Review of Ultradyne Apollo Max Compensator
I purchased this brake for my Ruger American Predator chambered in 6.5 CM. Installation was a breeze. Felt recoil reduction was substantial. Ability to stay on target was greatly improved. As to be expected with a brake of this design, you definitely will not win any popularity contests at the range using this brake. Overall, the machining, fit, and finish was up to the expected standards of a brake @ this price point. I would recommend this brake without hesitation.
Pros:
- Excellent fit and finish, works as designed and advertised. Not nearly as heavy as it looks.
Cons:
- It is loud if that can be considered a con.
Best Used for:
- Anyone looking to reduce the felt recoil of their rifle or improve their accuracy with the ability to stay on target through the scope.
