It can't be beat as an iron sight, however, you pay for it.
I've never used a more intuitive, accurate iron sight, but, although the sight will mount directly to most threaded AR15 caliber barrels, you will need to purchase a brake/compensator, muzzle break, or flash-hider from Ultradyne in that caliber to mount the front sight. However, you could get away w...

Sloppiest Sight Ever?
I can't recommend the Ultradyne C4 front sight in either the Dynamount (barrel mount) configuration or the C4 Picatinny mount version of this sight. Don't believe the marketing hype behind this sight. This is possibly the sloppiest front sight on the market. The spring-loaded sight post floats ins...

C4 Flip-up Dynamount
I've been using the Ultradyne C4 sights for a number of years on several AR's and can't say how much I like them. I have made them a standard for all my AR's. The front peep aperture makes sighting a breeze even with my nearly 60 year old eyes. I prefer using peeps for anything under 200 yards. If I can see it, I can hit it. I purchased the Apollo-S break specifically so that I could use the Dynamount front flip-up sight on a 20" AR barrel. I have on my wish list the same sights for a .308 AR I just purchased.
Pros:
- Intuitive
- Adjustability
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Primary or BUIS sights
Would recommend: Yes
C4 Flip-Up .223/5.56 Dynamount Front Sight
These sights are awesome for carbines or rifles with a short handgauard that would give you a very short front/rear sight setup if mounted on the end of a short rail. Easy to install but you have to purchase a Ultradyne muzzle devise for the Dynamount front sight. The see-through front post makes your iron-sight equipped rifle/carbine much more accurate since you actually see where your bullet will hit. I love them on my rifles.
Pros:
- Easy to install and align. very durable and accurate, easy to adjust
Cons:
- None other than you musty use an Ultradyne muzzle device with install
Best Used for:
- All shooting applications
Would recommend: Yes
