Most Helpful Positive Review EASY - EFFECTIVE
I installed Vortex Venoms on two 1911 pistols (Dan Wesson Valor 9mm w/ Nighthawk's IOS plate system, Springfield Range Officer 9mm with machining done by C&H). Mounting the sights, both were too-far-to-correct low. Sad. SO - bought these shims - installed the shims. They fit over the mounting plate studs perfectly. I centered the adjustments on the Venoms - then only had to turn about 1 1/4 turns to get them both Just Right. This product is effective, easy to install, and very inexpensive. Buy extras.

I received the first one craked out of the shipping envelope the 2nd cranked in multiple spots and split while installing

Not sure how this item got positive reviews it is complete junk and should not be trusted on a carry piece. The first shim was cracked on delivery the second cracked while installing. Brittle and poorly made tolerances.

Why do I have to type all this

As advertised worked great. Took awhile to get it but it wasn't so long as too not order from them again. That's all over got to say but they say I have to write more for some reason. I have 9 left so thanks
