Most Helpful Positive Review Not compatible with Holosun lasers
The item is fine. Small footprint and mounts up just fine. Nothing wrong with the item. It does not plug into Holosun's crane port which is a known issue with holosun lasers. Just wanted to leave this here to inform any other person who might be considering a switch.
Most Helpful Negative Review Disappointment
Poor packaging resulted in scuffs of the cerekote/anodizing from the cap socket, which too shows surface marring. Only works 50% of the time. Weighs 1/2 lb. Reduces run time on my modlite plhv2 by 15% when compared to modlite tape switch.

Great upgrade for a Surefire Scout Light

by Bassman, Verified Owner from VA, United States Written on March 7, 2024
I'm using the Unity hot button switch with a Surefire M640DFT Scout Light mounted on a Tavor X95. The Unity switch operates perfectly. It connects firmly to the rifle, and the plug snaps cleanly into the replacement Surefire end cap. The touch of the Unity is very similar to the end cap switch that came with the Surefire (which is a great switch if you don't have a need to access it from either side of the rifle). The Unity switch shows no evident loss of power (some reviews of other tape switches say that there is a noticeable reduction in illumination caused by those switches). In my opinion, the feel of the Unity switch is miles ahead of the Surefire tape switch. I mounted the Unity on the top rail of the X95 so that I could access it from either either side of the weapon. The only issue is the sufficiency of the real estate on the top rail; it's a bit compressed on the X95 due to the placement of the red dot sight and the location of the flip up front iron sight (if you're willing to obstruct use of the flip up sight, there's plenty of room). The space limitation by-and-large is not a problem caused by the Unity switch; it's a result of the compact bull pup design of the X95. My only observation about the Unity switch that impacts the "real estate" is that the lead wire comes out of the front of the switch. In a perfect world, there would be an option to have it emerge on the left or the right rather than the front. But despite this observation, the switch is w...

Great Switch

by BuenoNino88, Verified Owner from CA, United States Written on November 8, 2023
Awesome light switch. Easy to find when needed and excellent button if you want constant or temporary light.

Takes up a lot less real estate on the rail than a normal pressure pad. Deters away from accidental discharge.
Pros:
  • Durabilaty
Cons:
  • cost
Best Used for:
  • Law Enforcement - Military - Target Shooting

buy the black one

by Dan, from FL, United States Written on June 16, 2022
I’ve had success with these but maybe it’s because I prefer the black ones. Most of the negative reviews seem to be stemming from folks unhappy with the fde cerakote.

I use strictly black and they work great!

Perfect Hot Switch for my B&T APC9K

by F, Verified Owner from NE, United States Written on June 15, 2022
I own a B&T APC9K which is a very compact platform offering very little rail mounting space after mounting an EoTech sight on it. The APC9K model is fantastic but it is difficult to fit basic accessories common to larger platforms like a high performance tactical light. The Unity Tactical Rail Mount Hot Button switch truly solved a huge problem for me on this compact platform.

The product quality is great and rises to the level of my B&T. I was afraid the Unity switch would stick out like a sore thumb, but it truly looks like it was made specifically for my APC9K. The Unity switch offers a sensitive button for responsive quick on/off operation, as well as a silent hard set to leave the light on until depressed again to turn off. I couldn’t be happier with this Unity hot button. I would use this in a heartbeat for a full size platform if I had one because the space saving attributes are always a benefit no matter how much rail space you have available.

I had been looking for several months for a replacement hot switch for the SR07 remote switch portion of my SureFire DS-SR07 assembly for my Mini Scout Light Pro. There just wasn’t enough real estate left on my APC9K for the SR07 remote tape switch. I really did not want to replace that light system because of its superior lumens for its size. The Unity hot button integrated perfectly with the DS-SR07 switch assembly and provided good fore-end grip ergonomics for quick light operation.

Well done!!!
Pros:
  • Quality
  • compact & rugged
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Any Subgun or AR platform with picatinny NATO rails

Never even got to use it

by Nicholas Love, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on March 3, 2022
The only time I ever used it was right out of the box to make sure it works. My light definitely seemed dimmer, but I just decided to deal with it. It's been stored in my gun safe for the last 4 months and now when I test it again, it doesn't work. The button is stuck and I have no idea which position it is stuck in. It won't budge. I tried messing with the button to see if it would give, but no luck. My light works fine still so I know it's not that. I can't believe I paid $100 for something that just seizes up after being kept in a gun safe for 4 months, not to mention the time I had to wait because it was on backorder, and now I can't even return it.
Pros:
  • Looks cool
Cons:
  • doesn't work
Best Used for:
  • trash
