This just came in and it's beautiful and well made. Very light and the craftsmanship is excellent. It does have marring on the one end as if someone dropped it already though :/ This honestly isn't a big deal because I need another Buffer Tube anyway, which comes to the next part. Unfortunately as I ordered this, though it said Carbine on the site, the Carbine Super 42 Buffer Spring and Buffer is not compatible with A5 Buffer Tubes (which, when building a rifle, always read and reread the details before finishing your shopping) Optics Planet also sells a V Seven Carbine Buffer Tube that is not an A5 (difference in length), which is the one I should have bought. So, for all of you building Milspec, Carbine length ARs out there and thinking of using Geissele Super 42 Carbine Buffer Spring and Buffer, be aware that you will also have to purchase the standard Carbine Buffer Tubes or get the Geissele Rifle Super 42 for the A5 or Rifle Buffer Tube. This is the first time I'm building my own rifle and it's little words that at first while you're throwing together your shopping cart online, you're like, "Ok. Carbine and Carbine. This is compatible. Take my money." And then you find out that just because both items say Carbine in the title, you have to do the science and math behind what works in what and why.
