Light and rigid. has held up well for me. - V Seven AR-15 Hyper-Light Magnesium M-Lok Handguard

I have purchased and installed MANY V-Seven handguards. Usually, I go for the “Ultra Light”, either because of a particular length I need, or because the particular rifle doesn’t justify the extra cost. I do have a couple of the “Hyper-Light” handguards though and they have been installed for years. They are on extremely light rifles, all 16” barreled builds, near or under the 5lb mark.

Do they chip (the finish) easier than the slightly less expensive models? Yes. Will they accept alumi-black to cover the chips? Also yes, though not the same way a non-Me material would. If your AR is purpose built to look nice and brag about, you will want to be careful not to bump the handguard against a hard corner. If your rifle is intended to be used, picking up wear marks along the way, and you need an extremely light and rigid handguard, this could be the product for you.
