Light and Strong
Got this for a lite 300 BO build and paired with a 7” BCM MCMR. Very tight when threading onto my WMD upper. Advise greasing it well and taking your time torquing down. I went to 45 fp’s. Hand guard fits extremely tight.i had to use a heat gun to get it set but that is a good thing. Ways much less t...

Light weight but not very durable
The barrel nut definitely is nice and light weight and has a good finish. When installing the barrel nut the aluminum grooves for barrel nut tool became slightly warped while tightening and loosing it. If your wrench is pushed all the way back you will end up taking chunks out of the barrel nut.
Better than OE
Bought one of these to have an extra during a barrel swap. I've installed several MCMR rails. Factory barrely nut grooves for the installation wrench are so soft and always deform during the torque/setting procedure and I end up having to file down the edges so the rail will slide over the barrel nut easier - enter the V7 titanium nut. Weighs nothing, not a single deformation during the install procedure and has a nice thermal fit with the handguard just like factory. Only con is the price - but hey you only live once.

Why a titanium barrel nut?
It makes a difference in heat conduction. My steel barrel nut transfers heat directly to the handguard. Titanium kmr nut does not!! I've tested this on a 12" mid gas di and a 17" mid gas di. Both have drastically reduced high temperature heat conduction. I shot 120rds rapid fire through thru both guns with both barrel nuts to get to this conclusion. Titanium kmr barrel nut drastically reduces heat conduction from receiver to handguard under heavy fire schedules!! ...and it is lighter weight
Pros:
- Poor heat conduction, light weight
Cons:
- Expensive part!!
Best Used for:
- Any BCM handguard mounting

BCM KMR Weight loss
This barrel nut is awesome to decrease the weight of your AR, by decreasing the weight of the BCM barrel nut with this V Seven Titanium nut. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars, is because that the metal is very soft and easy to bugger up the notches using the BCM wrench.
Pros:
- Super Light
Cons:
- soft metal that is easy to bugger up the notches
Best Used for:
- Decreasing the weight of your AR

Quality Parts
Great Product, would definitely recommend this too Friends. Optics Planet Only sale Quality Brand Name Parts. Have been buying from this Company for parts and equipment since my time while serving on Active Duty in Army.
Pros:
- Very Light, Heat resistance
Cons:
- Need too take Care with Installation
Would recommend: Yes
High quality and lightweight
Easy way to save a few grams. The gorgeous ionbond finish looks prismatic in the right light. A shame you'll never see it again once it is installed. Take your time installing, seasoning, and torqueing to prevent damage to the lugs and you'll be fine. Install muzzle end up for easiest results.

DLC coated Titanium better than raw.
I have purchased both the raw and DLC coated titanium nuts and the Coated one is by far the better option for an easier install. The raw titanium presents alot of friction against the threads on the upper. athe coated one removes this friction and makes for an easier install and torque. The are both great but the DLC is what i would recommend. You cannot see them anyway under the KMR rail so color shouldnt matter anyway. These nuts will shave critical ounces away and help considerable with building a ultra light and fast handling blaster.
Pros:
- light
- Strong
Cons:
- none can see
Best Used for:
- 3 gun
- super fast CQB blaster
Would recommend: Yes
