Mounted the vg6 to my ballistic advantage 6.5 creedmoor barrel I assumed the bead blasted finish would match, not quite (no big deal). This looks to be a fantastic package and effective muzzle brake with the exception of the 1/2 ID crush washer sent with a muzzle brake with an ID of 5/8. Of all the places to screw up, this is just lazy, especially considering the quality of the brake.

Bad Threads
I bought this thinking I would receive nothing but the best being that it’s Aero. I was wrong. The threading was not properly tapped. It will only screw 1/3 of the way onto my 6.5 Creedmoor barrel. To double check that it wasn’t my barrel I tried my 6.5 Grendel with the same result. I then went back to my creedmoor barrel and tried hand tightened it on again. Unfortunately this time it got stuck and I had to use my wrench. And of course I scratched it so now I have a paperweight.

Great muzzle device
This is what should come with Aero Precision stainless barrels instead of the black mil spec birdcage. This fits with the look and finish of the barrel on a 24” 6.5 Creedmoor build. I expect this to function as just as well as the other VG6 devices I have used.

i love it helps alot with recoil and it looks amazing i would recommend and i would buy again came with anti cease and crushed washer its not heavy to the point u notice it not to me. could cane with a timing washer so it would be easier to install but overall i have no problems big thumbs up

original shipment had wrong size crush washer. called manufacturer. correct replacement was fed x to me the same day at no charge. easy install. 40 rounds of extra light recoil from my Browning Xbolt 6.5mm creedmore.

It Works!!
OK, so this is my third VG6 2nd Gamma, and for the price I cannot find anything that works as good. I like the BBSS because it gets a nice charred look on the muzzle..OK it's trivial lol Everything I have from Aero Precision I absolutely enjoy..Thanks Optics Planet for doing such a great job getting these parts out to me during the plandemic :).

Eliminates 6.5 Creedmoor Recoil Faster Follow Up Shot
Recoil from the 6.5 Creedmoor was much more reduced than the 5.56 NATO from similar design Gamma muzzle brake for one.
Shot from a heavy bull barrel and bi-pod, the rounds can go faster and faster down range due to not losing sight picture on target. It was better than regaining sight picture on a much smaller round like 300 BLK sub-sonic.
Adds very little to the barrel length. Flash hider on Epsilon model not found on the Gamma is not needed when used with 20"+ longer barrels, even at low light.
The blast back is MASSIVE so quality ear protection is a must or you will lose hearing.
The good part is the sound is not directed forward as much and won't disturb game in that direction as much.

Perfect for 6.5 mm barrels!
I've been using 7.62 muzzle brakes for both of my 6.5 Grendel, now there is a better option. The 6.5 Gamma is beautifully machined and finished. Brake worked great with 6.5 mm, much better than the "make do" 7.62 brakes since its exit hole is matched for 6.5 mm bullets.
