Most Helpful Positive Review
60% recoil reduction
After a lot of online research sifting through reviews and write ups I stumbled across an ultimate muzzle brake review. A lot of muzzle devices are touted as muzzle brakes or flash hiders incorrectly when they are actually the opposite. I found out in my searching the VG6 line are one of only a few that are both a flash hider and a true muzzle break. Do the research yourself. On a 20” 6.5 Grendel “automatic rifle” or AR I went from a linear comp I had as a leftover from another build to the VG6 and noticed a dramatic decrease in recoil. I can say with confidence that the felt recoil difference...

VG6 Precision Epsilon 65 Muzzle Brake
I have five of these VG6 Muzzle Brakes that I’ve installed. I started using them on a .308 M5 with a 16” barrel. The rifle needed to be tamed down a little bit. So I installed the device and took it to the range and was very impressed. It seemed like 35 to 40 percent of the recoil had vanished. Aero Precision manufactures these devices and does a fine job with their products.

VG6 Epsilon on 6.5 Grendel
Awesome Muzzle brake, it does as it states for muzzle rise and looks cool too. I put this with a Lefthand side charging BCA 20" 6.5 Grendel upper paired with a DPMS lower with JP 3.5-4lbs springs. I was able to return on target quickly with this Brake and the muzzle rise was nearly gone. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a good brake.
PS: It only reduced felt recoil by about 50%.
It reduced muzzle rise by about 90%.
Overall, it is a wonderful brake hands down.

Just go ahead and order!
I purchased this to put on my Ruger American 6.5 Creedmoor. It looks amazing for starters. I will say that I did have a little trouble getting to to line up correctly. I had to add an extra washer in order for it to be tight enough and lined up as it should be. That was an easy fix though. Once I fired my rifle, the difference was easily noticed. Not that the rifle had a lot of recoil to begin with, but adding this piece reduced down a good bit. I have shot around 30-40 rounds thus far and it has remained tight and in perfect position. I want to shoot more but I haven’t won the lottery yet so buying ammo is done on a very tight budget. That is if you can even find it. I would recommend this product to anyone. Good luck and happy shooting!
Pros:
- Work as advertised/hoped
- Look and function well

- None

OMG...this was the perfect addition to my build!
After a few weeks of research, I decided on the Epsilon and boy, was I sure glad I did my homework! This is not only a gorgeous muzzle brake to finish off my build, but it does what it says it does. While it made my Grendel a bit louder, it sure cut down on the recoil and muzzle lift. Brought my groupings closer. Still dialing in the new scope, but I went ahead and ordered another for the Grendel I built my husband.
Pros:
- Easily installed
- reduced recoil
- Reduced lift
- Beautiful addition
Cons:
- Loud

VG6 Precision VG6 Epsilon 65 BBSS
Great flash suppressor/muzzle break. Installed very easily. The finish on the unit was great, with one small blemish. There was a scratch on one edge, very small, but there nonetheless. I was a little disappointed about it, but was able to touch it up so it doesn't show. Besides, the gun will get used, and scratches are inevitable.

Aggressive looking
Brake adds a decent length to my aero 6.5 22” upper. Not that I’m going for a compact rifle in this build. Quite loud, does a great job taming the recoil, which isn’t too bad to begin with. Install is easy, use the crush washer for timing. The logo goes on the bottom.
Pros:
- price construction quality
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- precision shooting

VG6 Precision Epsilon 65
My second VG6 Epsilon 65 I have purchased. First one is on a 12” 6.5 Grendel AR and it shoots so flat that I had to have one for my 18” 6.5 Creedmoor AR. The VG6 Epsilon just flat performs. Working on another AR and it will be getting one as well.
Pros:
- Recoil mitigation
Cons:
- Concussion blast out the sides is problematic on indoor ranges. Need to get the cage device to help with this issue.

Does what it should and does it well
Put on a 12" 6.5 Grendel AR pistol. Very noticeable reduction in both recoil and muzzle rise. This does result in a fairly large shockwave being felt much closer to me, which isn't great, but that's no fault of the muzzle device, it's doing exactly what it should.

Great item
Just what the description says. I put it on my 6.5 cremore and worked perfectly. I bought two and gave one to my brother in law and he put it on his Grendel and worked perfect. Will buy again. Shipping was fast.

Works great on my 6.8spc
I have both the epsilon and gamma muzzle brakes. The epsilon is on a 6.8spc and the gamma on a 6.5 Grendel. The epsilon is definitely a step up from the gamma and worth the extra money when you consider you're getting a flash suppressor with it. Both muzzle brakes perform as stated, reducing felt recoil. Between a good trigger and these muzzle brakes I've significantly improved my accuracy. Have tried more than a few cheap muzzle brakes and can recommend these without hesitation. The machine work and finish is impeccable. No sharp edges anywhere, the crush washer worked as designed giving me a good tight alignment without undue stress to the barrel. Cheap crush washers can be a real headache when installing a muzzle brake as they quickly "bottom" out and not allow for correct alignment of the ports.
Pros:
- Beautiful machine work, nicely finished
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Predator control...as they allow for quicker follow up shots
