Most Helpful Positive Review Could not be any happier
I saw the vids for this sling before and was not impressed - mistake! I finally decided to purchase this after purchasing the TAPCO Sling System - which was very disappointing. I could not be any happier with the Viking Tactics sling or suggest any way of improving it. It adjust very easily and quic...

Most Helpful Negative Review Viking Tactics sling
I think it is well built and well thought out for the most part. It is too long for me I'm 5'8" tall. I don't like the way it attaches at the butt stock. It needs a quick release set up for the stock. It is not that easy to switch from strong to weak side. I did watch a bunch of videos but have...

Great sling for heavier Firearms

by Wm Palmer, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on April 11, 2019
I have several of these slings and use them on both AK and AR platforms. You can change the attachment points to QD's etc or use the plain strap technique. You choice. The padded part is extremely nice when carrying a heavy platform. You will appreciate the difference from a non padded sling (which i also have) in about 2.5 nano seconds....it is hard to go back to the other once you use these.

Best sling out there

by Bryce, from WA, United States Written on November 5, 2018
There are a couple different versions of V-tac slings out there and this is the one you want. It is padded and after hours of use you appreciate it. This also has the upgraded pull strap making it easy to find the strap so you can keep eyes on target.
Pros:
  • padded
  • ajustability
Cons:
  • Release pull is short
Best Used for:
  • combat
  • Long term use

One of the best slings out there.

by Jacob, Verified Owner from OK, United States Written on October 23, 2018
I've purchased 3 of these and they're great! Very comfortable, and the ease of use is great too. Might take some adjusting, and cutting off some extra nylon strap, but once you have it all adjusted, it works wonderfully.
Pros:
  • Ease of use
  • Comfortable
  • Functional
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Pretty much any modern sporting rifle.

Very nice, but not perfect

by Tyler, Verified Owner from MD, United States Written on August 7, 2018
Having a great time with the sling. Great build quality. Only complaint is that even with the rear part as tight as possible and the front of the sling mounted towards the rear of my rail,I would like about 2" more adjustment.
Pros:
  • Quality
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • everything

Great sling & versatile

by Wm Gardner, from WI, United States Written on July 14, 2018
Have been using these for a while, after seeing them discussed on In-Range. Have one for my Savage MSR-10 models and another for my Galil ACE. The MSRs connect via quick-release at two locations. Despite the difference in length (PRS stock w/ 22” barrel on one of them), the VTAC is flexible enough that no adjustments to the end straps are required. Galil is set up the same way, but has an HK-hook at the butt attachment, to accommodate the proprietary stock. Getting the strap adjusted “just right” can take a bit. I had to change how the tail slides, requiring me to establish a different layout for the buckles, in order to accommodate a chronic neck condition. Again, sling is VERY flexible, but you may have to work at it for a bit to get the fit “perfect”.
Pros:
  • Stability and weight distribution
  • Strong & highly dependable
  • speed of adjustment
  • works well for any MSR/AK platform
  • easily adaptable to platform and body type
Cons:
  • Can take a while to find the perfect fit
Best Used for:
  • Any & All Jobs
  • Tactical use
  • compeition

Great sling

by Chris, from VA, United States Written on April 22, 2018
This is the nicest sling I've ever used. It is fully adjustable so you can set it up for whatever overall length you need, what position the components are in, meaning the position of the padded section and the position of the quick adjust, and how much length the quick adjust adds. Very versatile. It is also very comfortable and easy to use in general. the material used is smooth, making it comfortable against the skin if it is against it such as when wearing a tee shirt and it glides across clothing when transitioning without pulling at it and causing your shirt to bunch up. It also appears very well made and the quick adjust is solid metal, not plastic, and looks like it will last a long time. Although it is meant to be a two point sling, with a little creativity with the buckles, it can be set up as a single point if it suits you.
Pros:
  • value
  • Versital
  • Comforatble
  • Well constructed
Cons:
  • None

great sling

by acegunny77, Verified Owner from KS, United States Written on April 10, 2018
Very happy with this sling, it is made very well and i am pretty hard on my stuff. This sling seems that it will have no issue holding up going through the woods on a coyote hunt or doing self defense rifle training

Great rifle sling for a great manufacturer

by speedrcr, from TX, United States Written on April 8, 2017
This sling is good to go. I bought it as a replacement for a bungee style single point and was hoping that I would like it . After using it during a rifle class literally a day after install, I can say, yes I like it. It is easy to adjust and doesn't dig into you when used all day. I am planning on buying another for my other rifle.
Pros:
  • easy to adjust
  • viking tactics
Cons:
  • none so far
Best Used for:
  • law enforcement and military
Would recommend: Yes
