This is a very well-made, compact laser with a high degree of visibility and easy operation. Furthermore, it has the benefit of working perfectly with the TacLoc holsters, which in reality is a definite selling point. I like almost everything about it and have no issues, save one small concern: the interchangeable mounting brackets (it comes with three sets to fit a wide variety of rails) are made of some type of plastic polymer. The laser housing seems to be aluminum, and the rail mounts lock into the housing very well into shallow dovetailed pockets with screw retainers. All good there. I simply feel that for the price and quality of this product, I personally would prefer the rail mounts to be aluminum as well; the plastic used seems very, very tough, and fairly rigid, but it does have a small degree of flex which bothers me. I'm sure they chose this material so as to avoid marring the firearm to which it's attached, but I'd still prefer a more immovable, rigid aluminum mount and put a scratch or two on the gun. OK, that's my bugaboo. Otherwise a really spectacular, super bright little laser. Easy to adjust with included tool.

I own a few competitor products when I saw this at a gun show and needed a laser for my HK 45C and thought I would check it out. It was incredibly easy to sight in and the laser is bright and works as designed. In fact I liked it so much I replaced my rail master on my Sig P227 with the X5L model.

The c5 fit well on my sub-compact and the green laser is very visible in any lighting condition, but after 80 rounds it's first time out, it came apart internally and had to be sent back. Instead of sending me another one as soon as the broken one showed up, they are currently fixing it and are not expecting the parts they need for a while. I am very disappointed in the product and their customer service.
Pros:
- Fits well
- visible in any lighting conditions
Cons:
- Came apart internally the first time out

This is my second purchase of the same model meaning my expectations were met....Mounts tight, even with the ruggedness of concealed carry, the sight remains intact at zero.. Visible even daytime. And nightime serves as a guide and illuminator as well. The battery should last for 2 hours with continuous on but not in my case.
I would turn it on for a second each day for test and a month and a half after, the battery needs replacement.

This is depicted as fitting perfectly on a S&W M&Pc. Hence, I bought it for mine. It does not fit anything close to perfectly, and when I called the customer service about this, they explained that it is a "universal mount" and meant to bend to fit whatever gun rail you put it on. The light works excellently, up to the point where I try to put it on my gun. Then, it mounts cockeyed, and frankly this is not how it is depicted, and if I knew what a pain it would be to mount it, I would not have bought it. Be warned, it will mount, but not well, and will look cockeyed the whole time. The rail mounting brackets are too narrow for the rail on the gun.
Cons:
- does not mount properly on M&Pc
- rail mounting system is quite flawed

I purchased my first Viridian C5 for my Walther PPQ. The unit fit perfectly and looked like it was specifically designed for the PPQ. I wondered if it would fit flush (with the barrel) on my wife's P22, So I tried it with the same mount I used for the PPQ and it fit perfectly. I cancelled my order for the Walther P22 red laser and order another C5 for the P22.
Pros: Small size, green laser highly visible even outdoors

Viridian Universal Sub-Compact Green Laser Sight C5 is easy to set up and install. Works perfectly on both my Springfield XD Subcompact 9mm as well as my Taurus 809C 9mm. On/Off switch is within close reach of the trigger finger. The green laser is exceptionally bright and sharp.
Pros: Ease of installation.
Cons: Limited holster choices

Battery life - if used for security and safety at home you can't leave battery in or it will discharge over a period of time. This makes the product ineffective when needed in a life threatening situation should the need arise after a period of inactivity.
Pros: bright and very visible
Cons: battery life if left in unit
Would recommend: Yes
