TVB's Review of NcSTAR 3.5x32 Illum. CPO Rifle Scope, Urban Tactical Ret.
I just received this scope and thought I'd share my initial observations.
I ordered it on 2/10/16, and it arrived 3/17/16. 36 days is a looooonnnnnng time to wait. Calls to OP customer service for status updates resulted in being told each time that the scope was on backorder.
The good:
Opening the box, the scope was packaged very well and included all the necessary accessories. NCStar ALWAYS does a great job of packaging/presenting their products.
Came with lense covers. Not flip ups, but great for protecting the glass when in storage or transporting.
QD Mount works flawlessly once you adjust the set nut to your rail.
The reticle appears lined up and perfectly perpendicular.
The glass is pretty good considering the price, and the 3.5 magnification makes viewing targets out to 100 yards easy.
The not so good:
The rheostat knob for turning on/adjusting the illuminated reticle is VERY difficult to turn. Something got overtightened at the factory.
The eye relief is just about 2". You really need to have a collapsible stock to get close enough to see the target through the reticle. Shame on me for not realizing that prior to purchasing.
I'll be going to range next week, so we'll see how it holds up to the recoil from my LR308. I'll update this review after that.
