This item does not specify that it is not mil spec. It is indeed commercial spec which is larger diameter. It is well made and works for the intended purpose. I have searched for this part and am totally satisfied with it. Just remember that it requires a "Commercial Spec" buttstock. The more common "Mil Spec" will not work. Buy the right parts and enjoy this addition to your firearm.

Folding Brace form my VRF-14 12 gauge Firearm

I purchased 3 parts to retrofit my Rock Island Armory VFR-14 with the Folding Brace.
VISM VG076 - Left Side Folding Stock Adaptor
VISM VG094 - Commercial Spec Stock Tube
VISM DLG-086 - Classic Commercial Stock
I had an issue trying to fit the Commercial Stock on to the Stock Tube. It would not go on at all. I had to file an angle at the bottom of the stock tube to allow it to slide on to the stock. After that everything worked perfectly. It's an awesome addition to the VRF14
