Hi, I received my gun cases, order # XXXXXXXX.
I just want to let you know that the cases are advertised as 52" long. Mine just barely measure 50 inches inside. When loaded with a rifle and ammo in the pockets, when I hang it vertically, the outside dimension stretches to 51 inches (better). If somebody really needs the full 52" they may want to hang the case loaded with weight, it may just stretch it out. Fortunately My longest rifle with scope fits inside with about 1 inch to spare. Basic varmint rifle, short action, with a 26" bbl and a 2.6" muzzle brake. Remarkably, I have another 300 win mag with a long action and 26" bbl and a JP tank brake and that just fits also. Plus a number of other rifles that are just an inch or 2 shorter. That was my goal; that is why I wanted such a long case. I'm lucky. another customer may find the case is too short, like with a custom gun and 27 or 28" bbl or a 338 Lapua, etc. You will want to be sure of your OAL.
Also, it seems that the handle is set too far back. The center of gravity is far forward, though using the shoulder strap seems to alleviate that. It may be different when the 5 pockets are loaded with ammo. I'd rather have fewer and larger pockets. AR mag pockets are kind of standard, but I don't think most ARs will need a 52" case! This case may work great for the new long range precision rifles in 6.5 creedmore, etc. You may want to let the manufacturer know my findings and opinions. I have photos.
