High quality upper
I have been on the fence looking at this upper for the last year. Recently I purchased a Radian lower and thought this upper would look perfect on top of it. The fit and finish was amazing. Extremely high quality and had a perfect fit to my lower with absolutely no wiggle. For those wondering it also fit perfectly with a geissele mk16 rail with no issues. Overall I am extremely satisfied with this upper and would not hesitate to buy again. Out of tolerance, not compatible and poor customer service from Vltor
Checked it with 4 different barrels that were all sloppy loose. Vltor wouldn’t even offer to check it out- just insisted I was wrong because their products are perfect. Add to that the fact that because it is a custom, wonky design (as are most billets) the accessories I wanted to use for offset backup sights won’t work. All in all, a very poor experience. Used it with a cheap barrel for a shirt range hog gun. Moving forward, I will stick with BCM stripped uppers- zero tolerance slip fit, compatible with everything and very well made. I don’t understand the love for these at all.

Solid upper
This upper is a great choice for anyone who is wanting to build a good looking AR. It is extremely beefy in all the right areas and rocks the vltor logo for bragging rights. I was trying to decide between this and the Aero upper and I couldn't be happier that I went with this vltor mur.

High quality upper receiver with style
Came across VLTOR MUR by accident then found out this thing was built like a tank! There was a case where an ammo blew up inside the chamber and MUR withstood the explosion without major damage, SAVED THE USERS HANDS. IMPRESSIVE! I went with non-cerakote model (MUR-A1) very nice finish. Colorwise, it's slightly lighter than most anodized aluminum but not by much. Definitely would buy again
