This should have come with the gun. It is still a bit annoying but much better than the factory part. And truly, it is the guns only flaw in my opinion. It is stupid simple to replace. Just pull a grip panel, lift out the old and set the mew one in its place. Reset the grip and go. Done.

Does NOT Fit Mark 4 22/45 LITE
Well there's a huge disappointment Does NOT Fit Mark 4 22/45 LITE.
I ordered a bunch of TandemKross & Volquartzen parts
only to find they have to be returned. okay so even if it were to have fit
it was NO bigger than the release that came with my gun factory OEM
Extended bolt release for Mark IV
I bout this by mistake as it doesn’t fit Ruger Mark IV 22/45. This item is just for Mark IV.

Really like this over the stock unit. Large enough to get a solid purchase on without being overly wide and cumbersome.

A lot better than OEM.
This part feels, looks and works better than what comes from the factory. Even if you don’t want to make any changes to your Mark IV, you’re gonna want this one. Be careful not to mix up the part for the Mark IV with the part for the 22/45 because they are Not interchangeable. This part is simple to install. The only thing that would have been better is if it came from the factory this way.

Essential Upgrade
This extended bolt release provides way more surface area and creates a flat shelf for your thumb to catch making it way easier to operate. The stock release is very low profile but it's unecessarily low. I found my thumb searching for the stock release and sometimes sliding off either direction. With this extended bolt release those problems are eliminated. I was able to install it in only a couple minutes by just taking the handgrip off. The extended release is made from a bit thicker metal than the factory release so when I replaced my grips I did have to sand them down a little bit in order for the release to operate but it wasn't a big deal. Overall I recommend this extended release and don't know why Ruger doesn't just put these on all their Mark pistols right out of the factory.
