Most Helpful Positive Review Good scope
So to be frank I got into an argument with a man that works for me because he said that Vortex were as good as Leupold. I protested intensely because Leupold is made in the USA (except the green rings) and Vortex is not. I've used Leupolds for 35+ years hunting from Alaska to South Africa and had NO...

Most Helpful Negative Review Lot of scope for the money
I have 2 of these scopes both mounted on compact rifles in 308 win. The first one I purchased has performed up to expectations but the other was as disappointment and had to be sent back to Vortex for repair. It now resides on a Ruger 10-22 and is great for that application. My worry is that the oth...

Best Budget 22 Rifle Scope.

by JayBird, Verified Owner from SC, United States Written on September 6, 2026
To find a budget oriented scope for a 22 that is worth a flip is hard to find. But the Vortex Crossfire II 2-7x32mm is it. Clear glass. I don't have any problem seeing clearly the 50-75 ft range a 22 has. And to know it is backed up by Vortex is a lot ot reasurance. You don't need a coin to make ajustments, fingers work fine. If there is ever a need for anothre 22 scope, this will be it also..

Great rimfire optic

by ziggzagg321, Verified Owner from OH, United States Written on July 24, 2026
If you have a Ruger 1022 or similar, this optic is absolutely wonderful. It’s light, it holds true, it’s easy to zero. You’ll need 1” rings, I’d avoid Warne.
Pros:
  • reasonably priced, very accurate
Cons:
  • you have to find your own rings
Best Used for:
  • rimfire rifle applications

Great optic for Price

by Dmar, Verified Owner from MO, United States Written on March 24, 2026
Vortex makes great optics and there is no exception with the crossfire II. For the price you could not ask for much better. You have a crystal clear view when using the optic. I love the light weight and sturdiness of the optic. I bought two scope one to go on a 10/22 Ruger and the other went on a Henry 22 Lever action. Both applications looked great with this vortex scope. If I could go back there isn't a thing I would do differently.
