For the money they are great. Work well even with my glasses on. Have some small imperfections but for amateur use they are just right. Not too heavy but still a decent field of view. Use mine for 100 yards or less watching birds and small game.

I purchased these online, sight unseen, after reading all the rave reviews, suffice to say that those reviews skewed my rather lofty expectations. For the sale price, these are ok binos but they are no way as great as the vast majority of reviews state. They have a little more fuzziness around the perimeter of the glass then I’m accustomed to, which I find to be a distraction, resulting in a sense that the entire view is less clear. Whether this observation is real or imaginary, you will have to decide for yourself. I do not find them very comfortable, they are acceptable for quick views but sustained glassing would be annoying. As stated by many, the objective lens covers are prone to falling off constantly, to clarify, the lens cover stays put when covering the lens, but the setup that is supposed to retain the cover when the cover is removed from the lens easily allows the cover to slide of the binocular. Overall, for the sale price, they are a good value; just don’t anticipate getting the clarity of higher end binos.

Vortex makes tons of high quality items for very competitive prices. These binoculars are no exception. Compact, light weight, clear glass, for a good price. Comes with a soft case and neck strap too. Get them and you won't be disappointed.

These binoculars are first rate as to optical quality...bright and sharp images. They are not as convenient as claimed when I try to use them wearing my eye glasses. Other than that, you will be very happy with these.

I purchased these for all around use and at their price point I have not found a better pair. Small size is very portable and I find I take them more places than if they were larger. Very sharp images and easy to hold steady. I really can't find a negative about them and I believe that for the slight optical difference you get if you spend 2 to 5 times the money these are a best buy.
