I decided to buy this over the 4th of July due to the sale going at that time.The scope was delivered in a timely manner. I set up the scope to try it out, and was impressed by the clarity and magnification. I could easily read small letters at 300 yds. Its gonna be an added value to my range days.

Thank god for the unlimited warrenty

Only4 stars because first unit was defective, otherwise great scope, could easily see .22 holes at 100 yds.
Definitely good enough for PLR shooting. First one wouldn't focus, so I called Viper and the sent me a new one with a return UPS lable, no problem, very apologistic for the bad unit. Kudos to Viper.

Vortex's reputation strikes again

First off I want to say how good optics planet is and how they take care of their customers. Wish more retailers cared about their customers like optics planet does, thank you!! I took a chance on a vortex product and it bit me in the a** again!! Tried a spotting scope in bass pro and was willing to try a vortex product again, but I was left unimpressed and let down by their quality and their quality controls!. The scope was filling a temporary need, and would have been a stepping stone until I can get a higher quality optic at a much higher price point. The lenses came filthy and had some sort of oily film on them I couldn't get clean after numerous attempts to do so. I didnt think I should have to try so hard to see through a brand new scope. Never again will I waste my time with anything that says vortex on it!!
