Perfect fit
This sunshade fit perfectly on my 3-9x40 Diamondback Tactical scope. Not sure what issues the other reviewer had but I contacted Vortex and they told me this one would fit my scope and it fit perfectly. It will only fit models 3-9x40 DBK-10023 , 4-12x40 DBK-10025 which is listed in the product description. I would post pictures of it if Optics Planet had that option.

Unexpected Fitment
I purchased this shade for a Vortex Diamondback scope but it ended up not fitting the particular model. But as I was boxing it up to send back I thought, to heck with it and tried it on my 40mm objective Nikon scope(s) and to my surprise it fit well. The is a minor difference in the outside diameter(s) of the shade and the scope but otherwise its perfect. To anyone in the know about Nikon rifle optics, Nikon no longer makes rifle optics, nor associated accessories so this is a good substitute for a Nikon sunshade.

- Happens to fit Nikon 40mm optics.

- Does not fit all models of Diamondback Optics

Does what it is supposed to...
It was nice to be able to find a sunshade for my vortex diamondback tactical. I considered making one out of kydex, but this looks better. It fits fine, screws right in. I think its a bit expensive for what it is, but it still works fine.
