This is a lot of scope for the money! I have own a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x56, Nightforce NXS 12-42x56, Nightforce Benchrest 12-42x56, and a Leupold Mark 4 6.5-20x50, and the Vortex Golden Eagle is as good or better than all of them. Excellent!!

I first rated this rifle scope a one star, optic planet would not post it. Kind of glad because it doesn’t deserve a one star. I thought the scope was off so I sent it to Vortex. Excellent customer service, they gave me a shipping ticket, I packed it up and sent it to them and they told me they checked everything out and everything‘s good. They shipped it back to me in two days, the problem was my rifle stock, so I ended up buying a Rogers lock stock.

Good So Far

I have not had a chance to try this scope out yet, but I will describe the unboxing. It comes in a very nice box with the as described contents. Scope caps are screw on and should be adequate as this is a target/competition scope. It has a diopter disk and a sunshade, all very nicely made. The scope is much lighter than most target scopes and makes it useful for FTR Competition. So far, so good.

scope had some cosmetic scratches.the housing of the scope was scratched up. It works as it should. But for the price, I expected a brand new one.

Golden Eagle 15-60 rifle scope
