It's a Vortex!

I had a friend keep telling me to check out Vortex red dots and LPVOs. After checking out one of my friends vortex viper 1-8x24 I was super impressed. Even the strike eagle 1-8x24 OPMOD is awesome for the price. The glass on the Viper series is legit. I'm not a good enough shooter to justify getting a Razor. My hunting rifles are now equipped with Vortex Viper HS 4-16x44 & 4-16x50. Both are SFP. I'm not taking any super long distance shots at deer or elk so really no need for SFP. I now have a set of Vortex OPMOD binoculars and absolutely love them.

Viper HS 4-16x50 BDC Great Scope!

Bought the Viper 4-16x50 to replace my Diamondback 3.5-10x50 scope because I wanted a little more zoom. The Viper is extremely clear, image is crisp, low light is excellent and the turrets feel very nice. The glass is better than the Diamondback and the eye relief is far superior to the Diamondback scope. Mounted on my Ruger American Hunter in .308. Zeroing was easy and turrets are Re-zero able once the scope is set, for dialing longer shots. Very happy with the product and of course it's backed by Vortex's VIP warranty!! The shipping from Optics planet arrived in 4 days to NC. Price was good too considering MSRP is about $850 bought from Optics planet for about $540 after taxes and free shipping. I do some target shooting, but mostly deer hunting and I think this scope will suit my needs well!

Vortex failure

Very disappointed with the scope I received today. Pulled it out of the box and you could see lint or a fiber of some sort in the sight picture. Cleaned the lenses and made no difference. Also shined a flashlight inside the scope and you could see small flecks of dust inside. Not sure what happened. It doesn't appear to have be tampered with and I know vortex makes a good product. OP return process is very easy. I do wish it was easier to contact a human via phone. I was hoping to expedite a replacement.

Vortex Scopes

I’ve got all brands from el cheapo and up. So far Vortex has the going thing. Very good optics, clear, has never fogged up or any related problems. Reasonably priced, and as for warranty, I’ve never had to use it. Highly recommend a honest try.

Scope was surprisingly clear and all was functional

Very clear and functional - made in the USA - that’s a bonus- windage and elevation knobs are crisp - focus knob is easy to adjust- magnification knob is easy day to work. Scope is accurate and easy to work with- BBC reticle is efficiently accurate
