K's Review of Vortex Ranger 1500 Range Finder
If you are familiar with the Ranger 1000 then this is no different physically. It does have new software which allows for faster ranging times which is nice. You also have to push the range button twice instead of three times like the Ranger 1000 which was a complaint on the 1000. I personally haven't tested this past 400 yards yet but everything <400 that I've ranged has been accurate.
I'd say if you don't already own a Ranger 1000 and are in the market for a new rangefinder, the 1500 should be on your short list.

- good optics
- efficient use of size; not bulky or oversized
- fast range return time
Cons:
- Expensive, but worth it
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Target shooting
- ranging your neighbors
