amazing
I compared these with alot of binoculars and they were waaaaay better than all but swaro, but were more comfortable, lighter, half price, and didn't give me a headache like the swaros did with the sun to the side and behind me I liked the image from these better most of the time. I talked with the s...

Not as good as i would have expected.
Dear Folks,
I have used a pair of Leupold Poro Prism binoculars that my Dad gave me 22 years ago. Since I had booked both a Dall Sheep and Big Horn Sheep hunt in 2014 I decided I should upgrade my binoculars finally and purchased the Razor HD 10X42. I brought them both out on the stand side by side...

Vortex Razor HD 10x42mm Binos
I have watched the price on these binos 4 some time.
I finally caught a sale, just right, so I purchased these.
I guess I'm not super impressed with these as much as I thought I would be.
I tried them in dusk and dark and I thought they would pick up more light.
That surprised me since my low grade binos seem to do a better job.
I'll test these binos this fall in a Utah Elk hunt.
I purchased these in 10x42 for further distance glassing.
Time will tell with them. I usually use 8x42s.

Vortex lifetime warranty is for real.
The Vortex unlimited lifetime warranty is for real! I bought used Vortex Razor HD binos more than five years ago. Last year I used (abused)? them on a Dall sheep hunt in the Northwest Territories. They were dirty, sticky, and I bent an eyepiece cover somehow on some rocks. The Vortex people cheerfully took them in, made them look and feel like new, and returned them promptly, no questions asked. I'm a Vortex believer now. The glass is good, the price is right...what's not to love?

Vortex Razor 10x42
I down sized from the Razor 10x50 to these and am very impressed with the clarity and light gathering. These are great add for archery spot and stalk hunting. They are lighter and easier to carry while hunting and still have enough power to glass with.
Pros:
- Smaller , lighter
Cons:
- None

Totally Worth It
I have to say it was very hard for me to pick a binocular that was perfect for me. When you go to stores they just have tons of different options/brands where it can be kinda overwhelming to know which is the best for you. One thing that made these different than the rest is the is the warranty, I don’t think you can find a more secure warranty like it! I decided to buy these and took them hunting and have to say they are sharp, very bright, and so clear. I honestly couldn’t believe how good the glass was. Before I got into binoculars I didn’t see the purpose of spending over $400 on binoculars. That is until I actually looked threw these Razors. I’m so glad I bought these, If you are looking for a excellent pair of Bino’s with the glass of a much higher end price tag without paying higher price tag, definitely check these out! so far they have been my perfect choice for hunting:)
Pros:
- Clean ,crisp view
- Lifetime no fault warranty
- compact & rugged
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting
- Birding and Wildlife viewing

Vortex Razor HD 10x42
I've owned many binoculars, most in the 8x variety. I picked up a very nice 6x32 for my bow hunting needs and decided to sell my 8x and buy a really top grade 10x. When I say top grade, I'm not talking about the $3000+ types, but something at a level that there will not be a significant improvement with the BIG $ glass. I compared the Leica Trinovid 8x42 and the Razor 10x42. Three days with 4 other people looking with me. Daylight, when all decent glasses look pretty decent and late twilight. All of us agreed both glasses were very bright and with tremendous resolution. We looked into the shadows in the woods across our lake (200 yds)and tried to read license plate numbers at the same distance. Opinions were split and wandered back and forth as to which was brightest and which had the best resolution. Final vote was that they were equal and both had the same price, but Optics Planet was discounting the Vortex by $200, so it was the clear winner. The razor was a hair lighter in weight and had a locking diopter ring as well.
