This is an excellent riflescope for short to medium ranges, and I would not expect to find anything better than this except possibly some high end optic designed for the same function at nearly double the price or more. This is as much bang for your $1400 as you are going to get for a scope that can be used for close range with both eyes open at 1x power, with the option to reach out 300 to 500 yards with 6x. Vortex's lifetime warranty is very impressive and reassuring.
Pros:
- Clarity, light transmission
- Solidly built
- illuminated reticle is excellent
- lifetime no reservation warranty
Cons:
- would rather have black than gray
Best Used for:
- close to medium range
