Amazing Optic
The Vortex Razor Gen II scope is an amazing product. You cannot beat the value in this scope. I will be buying another one and recommend this scope to anyone wanting a high end optic for your rifle of choice.

Problems on Day One
This was the first time I decided to buy once, cry once with a rifle scope. I ended up crying twice because upon taking the scope out of the package, I screwed the sunshade on. When I removed the sunshade, the optic lens came off. Vortex said that not only could that impact the accuracy of the scope...

My first vortex
Okay not really. I have a Viper PST gen 1 on a .270, a cheap crossfire on a 10/22, and a crossfire on a crossbow. My other rifles have better glass than these, Athlon Cronus (love it), Leupold Mark 4 (excellent), Tract Toric (excellent), Athlon ETR gen 2 etc. (very nice). This is my first Razor. It is awesome even though it is a gen 2. I don’t care if it’s a tad heavy. It’s going on a short barreled Browning .300 wsm that can use the extra weight. The reticle is reticulously clear. I love the elevation indicator, locking turrets, reticle layout (online photos don’t do it justice) and hideaway illumination knob. On sale this was a steal.

Vortex Razor HD 3-18
Optics clear , illuminated reticle crisp, turrets precise and audible, incredibly heavy ( 3 lbs) , great if you’re trying to reduce recoil for your bench gun, dimestore lens caps, you would think vortex would put a lens cap on a $1500 scope that might be functional.
Pros:
- Nice optic and build quality seems good
- nice optic , build quality good
Cons:
- Weight, lens caps a joke
Best Used for:
- bench gun

Vortex Razor
I am very impressed with the the Vortex Razor HD Gen II 3-18x50mm rifle scope, the clarity is very good, the best I have ever had and a great scope for target shooting! The construction is incredible like a tank and the dials turn smoothly, distinctly but not loose but like a finely built and tuned scope for precise accuracy. I mounted it a an AR15 and with this scope and my most accurate hand loads I now have a very good idea of the accuracy of my rifle, no worries about the scope holding zero. The crosshairs can be illuminated by pulling out on the
left hand nob and turning it to increase the brightness which is nice for the dark days. My scope is MOA and with one click it will change the point of impact 1/4" precisely and return to zero precisely.
I am now a Vortex user life.

nice scope
Very nice scope. I mounted it on my 300wsm and it's doing amazing at 300 yards. No issues with zero or recoil. Vortex razors are great scopes at any prize

Vortex Razor HD Gen II 3-18x50
The glass on this scope is incredible. It is built like a tank and seems bomb proof. My only complaint would be the lens covers that came with it. They are very low quality and fall off easily. Not sure if they are included just to protect the glass in transport but they are not made to stay on the scope once it is mounted to the rifle.

Very Nice Riflescope
This is a really nice scope with great glass. It's a tank (heavy) so I'll be putting it on my 308 SP10. Seems like a perfect fit.

- Many
Cons:
- weight
Best Used for:
- Heavy Guns

Nice quality/features but beware its so heavy!
I wanted to put this on my 16” sugar weasel but it weighs more than the gun! This is a very nice optic made in Japan, but it’s way too heavy. It weighs more than my pulsar thermal qx50 with extended battery pack.. It would be good for a dmr bench gun set up but defiantly not something that leaves the table. Couldn’t give it more than 3 star because of weight otherwise it would be 5star
Pros:
- quality and features for the money
Cons:
- Heavy
Best Used for:
- DMR

Razor Value
Put the gen II 3-18X50 on Ruger FTW hunter 7mm PRC. A 2 pound scope on an 8.5 pound rifle. Used big 6 bolt 34mm night force rings on a murphy precision stainless picatinny base. Used scope ring rosin, and wet mount method on ring to base interface. All is secure and stable with Hornady 175gr ELD-X precision hunter ammo. Scope is well laid out, performs well, and optics are very clear. I like the lower knobs on the gen II for a hunting rifle. Price was right.
