Most Helpful Positive Review Great budget optic
You can't call it cheap, because it's not. Budget friendly for sure. If you want a nice optic that works, this is the one. Mounted fast, easy adjustment. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice middle of the road optic. With lifetime guarantee, you can't go wrong.
Most Helpful Negative Review Not Great, Quality Control Issues
___Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x24 has lots of good reviews so bought one. Solid nice looking scope, seems pretty clear and bright and seems to work pretty well in bright conditions. But seems to have a lot of flaws in design, build or quality control. ___- Distortion: Another Vortex scope I checked ou...

Just what my failing eyes needed.

by Randy, from MA, United States Written on February 24, 2024
I purchased a red dot for my PCC however with my eyesight at 50 yards the dot looked like an 8 MOA, good for getting hitting the target but not for accuracy. Upgraded to the Vortex Strike Eagle 1-8x and I can get a much more accurate sight downrange.
Pros:
  • Sight clarity, durability, lifetime warranty
Cons:
  • None

Good Glass, Stiff turrets

by Jon, from OH, United States Written on February 10, 2024
Good glass and overall good value for the price; however, the turrets are VERY stiff and the thread in knob to turn the turret is cheaply made. I used blue loctite on it and it still wiggles and pops out so i have to continually tighten it down and ensure i don't lose it. I would give it 3.5 stars... still better than average due price/glass quality.

Mounted on my AR9 for timed shooting drills

by Doug Munro, Verified Owner from TX, United States Written on January 6, 2024
Really like the Vortex Strike Eagle. The center dot can be hard to pick up on at times (my eyes are the issue) but I frame the target in the half circle halo and I am good to go! Really helps me get on target quickly for timed competition shooting. Also like the magnification as for smaller plate targets out to 75 yds can be hard for me pick up on properly as my prior red dot would cover the plate completely at those distances.

Very happy with this scope. Bought another after I bought this one.
Pros:
  • Fast Target Acquisition
Cons:
  • None

Great lpvo, read below for my take and why i replaced it.

by Obabo, Verified Owner from NJ, United States Written on December 8, 2023
Not sure what corners the opmod version cut to get the price $200 cheaper than the standard model, But I put this on my 18 inch AR-15 and I put over 3,000 rounds through the gun while using the scope and i have no complaints for what it is, the glass is clear and it seems durable and holds zero. I just replaced it because I need more magnification as I've been trying to work on my groupings at 100/ 300 yards, the FoV on this scope is pretty high, so about 1.5x zoom looks normal, when its 1x zoom its zoomed out almost, I'd say 8x zoom on this scope is comparable to 6x zoom on a normal scope, but again for an LPVO thats good, you can hit a q target easily at 500 yards with it, but at 100 yards the recticle begins getting big enough to take up to much space to try and get those 1-2 moa groups.
Pros:
  • Clear glass and great for what it is
Cons:
  • Not the scope's fault, but not recommend if you're trying to get tight moa groups.
Best Used for:
  • Rifles you may need to use close range or far range, nothing precision though.
