Better than Expected
I usually don't review products, but had too much fun with this scope today. Spent a lot of time over the last 2 weeks on my Savage ba stealth 6.5 CM and compared head to head with a Riton rts 4-32×56mm 34mm tube on a 6.5 CM Ashbury and a Burris 8-40×56mm 34 mm tube on a 338 lapua. This scope trac...

Parallax locked up
Sloppy turrets and the parallax was useless because it was so tight. I sent it in for warranty. These scopes need work. My first and last Vortex. It will be interesting to see how they warranty this! I have cheap scopes that blow this scope out of the water. The Vetor Optics Reiter is so much better...

Underrated
Ok, this is not a 7075 aluminum. But the build quality is very good! I was a little concerned because of some reviews talking about the fit and finish. Some of them even looked like they got the wrong size rings in their box? Or maybe they just ordered the wrong mount on accident? That was not the case with me. The finish is great, the fit is flawless on the scope and the rail. 4 locking lugs well machined. This thing is solid. I haven’t tested it yet but I’d be shocked if it didn’t hold zero cause the fit was so perfect. If you’re looking for a budget mount that won’t break the bank you found just found it.
Pros:
- Price
- Fit
- Finish
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:

Revstop zerostop is useless if you want to use the scope.
The glass is decent for the price. My issue is you go from 110 moa max elevation to 47 moa max elevation just adding a zero stop... other scopes come with a zero stop built in are 200 dollars less and dont limit your elevation range plus the glass is almost as good and the eye relief at max magnification is way better than this scope A. Im sorry but most people buying a 25x scope aren't shooting 300 yards. Just dont offer a zero stop if im going to lose 63 moa of elevation. No mention of this in the listing you have to buy it to find out. Hopefully I saved someone the trouble of buying and returning. I only gave 1 star because this important detail was not in the listing for the scope. If it was in the listing I wouldnt have left a review because I would not buy it in the first place.
Pros:
- Max elevation without zerostop, glass clearity for the price
Cons:
- None

Fantastic perfirmance and value
Anyone considering a mid-tier rifle scope needs to check this out. This scope is a great value, considering price vs performance and specs. Easily competes with much pricier scopes on features and glass clarity. Love the FFP and the clear bright Christmas tree reticle set up for instantly aiming using hold over dots. Also love the many illumination settings. My only complaint, and this is minor, is that the turret “clicks” are a little mushy or less pronounced than some other higher priced scopes. But in no way does this degrade the overall value proposition of the Strike Eagle 5-25x. I also got it on sale during a 15% off Vortex sale, plus free shipping. Can’t beat that.
