Bought it for a Ruger American Hunter, with intent to have a budget 600 yard shooter. Blown away by the quality and features for the money. Reticle and image is crisp from edge to edge at max power, with no blur or aberration. Side focus and magnification are smooth and firm. Clicks on elevation and windage are audible, and precise, though they could be slightly more positive. Windage was just a bit soft/ mushy, but elevation was solid. Vortex Venom 3x15x44
Excellent scope. Some of the best glass ive seem on a mid grade optic. I dont say this lightly. I have horrible vision and astigmatism in my shooting eye. I did a side x side with Atholon ETR and BTR and the Vortex glass is 2x clearer for me. Only con is the venom does not have a lit reticle(not a deal breaker for me). Second con is the reticle dot in the crosshair is tiny. Would be fine for hunting. Which is what i purchased for, but i was breaking in a new rifle and shooting it like my PRS bench gun. Third is its a bit heavy, but most quality scopes are. I would buy again

Great scope for the money
Thats nothing new from Vortex scopes. They are the value for price scope. This 3x15x44 Venom came fast from OP. This Venom 3x15x44 is bright and clear with a great reticle. It is not a light scope but it’s going on my Ruger II 6.5 Grendel bolt rifle. If you want weight reduction in a scope like this, you will be paying more than double the price. Would buy it again if weight was not an issue.

Built like a tank! Not filled with bunch of options and the radical can seem busy. Overall I think it’s punching above its price point with vortex great warranty hard to beat.
