Nice clear view holds light well in early morning and late evening. But the gentleman that helped me with my order (Sam) either has a brain injury or was extremely high. Not impressed with his service, if it is a mental issue or injury I understand but may need to check into it because I had to talk him through the whole process of how to do his job and the math for my military discount. Super nice guy but not all there. The binoculars and spotting scope are great tho top notch products and top notch prices you guys are a great company.

I normally don't write reviews but these binoculars are so good I felt I had to.
These are super clear and feel very high quality. I almost went with the Razor, but after using these I am glad I settled on these. Love them.

This was my first big purchase for optics, and I wanted to get something decent without breaking the bank. I’ve read a lot of reviews, done research on other brands, and I always kept coming back to these! For the price, it’s pretry hard to beat these viper HD’s. Glass has come a long ways in the optics industry, and I’d compare these to other expensive brands out there as far as clarity. This was my first ever Vortex purchase, and I was not disappointed!

Was originally looking a pair of Leupolds but after some further research and some recommendations from friends I settled on the Viper HDs. I couldn't be happier. The Vortex warranty isn't a bad thing either. Looking forward to using these in the woods this year!

I can see through them across the street. They fit in the should chest case I just got ( badlands mag bino). Weight seems good and comfortable to wear and see through. Good spotting luck. ............................................................................

The Vortex HD 10 x 42 binoculars are a great addition to any outdoor enthusiast regardless of pursuit. The user manual guides you through the set up process and you’re ready to go from there. The binoculars easily focus and the clarity is exceptional.

This unit gives you a sharp image and having the lens protectors attached is a plus for the hunter. it took ver little effort to sight in. Also it is very light which is an extreme advantage for the big game or turkey hunter.

I bought these as a gift for my son for Christmas. He was thrilled with the gift as he needed an upgrade from the low end binos he was given as a young teenager. This is one sturdy pair of binos. We did much side by side comparing of these against my $2,400+ pair of Leica 8x42, and those things rock. Vortex has a well thought out and high performance design here. Where the Vortex Viper came up short in this UNFAIR comparison: extreme edge clarity (and I'm talking very outer rim), slightly less bright in extreme low light, slightly more glare when viewing in direction of rising or setting sun. If I had not been comparing side by side, none of these would have stood out to me as anything close to objectionable. Where I actually preferred the Vortex Viper to my Leicas: Lighter weight, trimmer in width when folded inward, feel more secure and stable against chest when in bino chest harness, Hand feel is awesome.
I love the lens caps, and feel and function of the eyecups and focus knob. Extremely quick and easy to dial in when changing view to objects at different distance. You do not get fatigued when spending long time looking through these like some others at this price point.
For the price point, the Vortex Viper HD is a screaming bargain.

I have always loved leupold and have a couple pair of there binoclars. Well now they are in the bottom of a drawer. These vortex viper hd 10x42 are the clearest binoculars under a thousand dollars i have tried.This size was recomended by a optics planet pro and i have to agree,i am a tree stand hunter and want the most magnification i can get without the bulk and 42 is it.They feel great in your hands,adjustments are smooth and crisp.I love these binoculars and will be trying vortex scopes soon. U cant go wrong here

I think they are great. This is the first pair of quality binoculars I have ever owned. What a difference they make. They are super clear and bright, feel good in your hands with the rubbery feel. Nice solid and precise focus adjustment. The locking diopter adjustment is a plus. I set it once and can forget it. I like the attached lens caps. They have a snug secure fit and are robust enough that I'm sure they'll last. I wish I would have spent the money for a pair of binoculars like this years ago.
