Great binoculars.
I’ve been looking for a new pair of binoculars and found what I wanted in the Vortex Viper HD 8x42. It has super clear optics from edge to edge. Its 5.25mm exit pupil (objective/power) makes for an optic that can reach further into twilight and allows me to see things other binoculars would miss.

These binos area a great step up from my Alpine binos, clear , great for woods hunting

Vortex Vipers are excellent…
Purchased the Vipers after being disappointed with the light gathering ability and clarity of a couple of lower end Vortex and Leupold bins. Glad I went with a higher tier. Night and day difference between these and anything in the sub $300 range. I have the 8x42 for whitetail hunting in thicker timber. They are sharp and clear all out to the edge, and they’re one of the models that isn’t made in China. If I recall correctly, the Vipers have Japanese glass that’s assembled in the Philippines. I don’t think my eyes would be able to tell the difference between these and the $$$$ flagship Vortex models. Just don’t see how they could get much clearer. OpticsPlanet customer service is unmatched. Had an issue with a pair of bins once and they went above and beyond. I’ve purchased a number of optics from them over the years and they’re my go-to supplier.

For the money the Viper line of Vortex Optics can’t be beat. Clarity and light transmission are superb.

Great binoculars
Bright, crystal clear, solid binoculars. Some reviews have mentioned they have a tight focus wheel but I’ve found it just right for fine adjustments.

Amazing clarity!
These binoculars have amazing clarity and the diopter focus has a wide enough of a range for my eyesight. I replaced a cheap pair of 10x50, from another manufacturer, that I used for many years as a monocular, because the diopter focus range wasn't sufficient. The binoculars and case are well made and I expect a lifetime of trouble free use. I am very happy with my purchase. If I could change anything it would be to have the option of buying an additional suspension harness to attach to my backpack. I did not find one manufactured by Vortex so I purchased from another company.

Good binoculars at a good price
This was a Black Friday purchase of a well rated pair of binoculars, the Vortex Razor 8 x 42HD. The eye relief could be a little better but the brightness and sharpness make up for it. I’m hoping the focus wheel will loosen a little with birding use.

Vortex viper binoculars
I would highly recommend these binoculars. I replaced a 15 year old pair with these and they were extremely clear, good low light vision and had a wider field of vision.
