I recently damaged my scope on my HOWA 308. I chose the vortex viper HD 3-5X44 but the factory rings were going to be the issue so I went with this rail. So far this doesn't work out wonderfully.

Solid rail. Perfect alignment with factory Weatherby tapped holes. Hardware looked and felt of high quality.

Does not fit Howa 1500M
I read the description and it explicity said that it fits a. Howa 1500 . I’m here to tell you that if you bought a Howa 1500M it does not fit. They should put that on their description .

Tactical rail
Very well made fit like a glove once I bedded it to the receiver.

Perfect fit with great quality
I swapped from a 4-9x40 Nikko stirling and its ring/base mounts (tube size ? It was smaller then 30mm) to a 4-16x50 vortex with a 30mm tube and that’s why I swapped its very nice rail

Warne Howa scope base
Unfortunately for the price it was received with one screw that had bad threads. I looked under a magnifying glass to see if i could ID the bad thread, but it looks like the thread simply didngo all the way to the start of the screw. I didn't want to force it into my action (that would have been stupid and risky). So i had to contact Horne and waiting on a replacement screw. Annoying that a screw makes this $65 part unusable. Otherwise, it seems fine.

Warne base is solid Quality.
The Warne base is just one solid Quality construction piece. Warne is a good go-to for bases. There are other, of course, but Warne is first in mind as they work well when I have used them.
Pros:
- Warne always a solid Quality choice in bases.
Cons:
- Small concern on using medium, removable thread locking compound - only one of a few Base makers that suggest thread compound. Other bases used had no issues without the thread compound.
Best Used for:
- As designed to fit. Warne base is solid Quality.
