DEER RANGING CAPABILITY
I received the above 900 range finder. I have a 600yd of same brand.
What I don't understand is the specs for my 2yr old 600 range finder works on deer out to 300yds, but the 900 lists the same specs so what exactly did I gain by purchasing the 900. I thought I would be able to range deer further, yet every on both factory shipping pkgs states the exact same specs other than the model 600 and 900.
Other wise the product is great as is my older model but I spent more money and gained nothing.
I wanted to range game further, not a tin roof.

bought one of these this spring but did not have a chance to use it till hunting season started in October. Must say I a disappointing with the performance of it. Works OK for Archery range with the angle features and all. But I wanted this for rifle hunting as well. Has a hard time picking up anything non reflective beyond 150 yds. Tried ranging deer on a hillside and could not get readings from the deer or even the hill unless it is at just the right angle. Going to sell this one to a friend who only bow hunts and buy a Vortex for myself.. Should have done that first.

solid product
Good range finder for the money. worked accurately and easily acquired targets. Liked the true ballistic range ability, that helps with elevated shots. The only draw back is in low light conditions it is difficult to read the display.
