Most Helpful Positive Review Perfect for short range weapons
I purchased this range finder for still shooting my m-4. Although, this range finder would not be optimal for long range distances over six hundred yards, I find it perfect for shooting 400-560 yards with my AR. It is cost effective for someone working their way up to the purchase of the .338 Lapua for long distance shooting. I recommend this range finder, the fire field spotter scope, the leupold VX-r patrol 1.25-4x20mm scope, and offset magpie iron sights for m-4 shooting. You'll have a lot of fun with these items at your disposal.

Good and easy to use product.

by Average guy, from KY, United States Written on February 11, 2018
Works as advertised. Put a battery in push the button. The lenses are clear with no blurring. I did not realize that I was off as far as I was in guessing distances. I really believe that with using this it will train my eyes and brain better to read distances. I plan to use this when Shooting and with Golf.

Not as described

Range Finder works great for setting up steel targets in daylight conditions. Even though the range finder is perfect for the purpose I bought it. I'm giving it 3 stars because it was supposed to come with a nylon case and it did not.

Halo Rangefinder

by Dale, from WI, United States Written on August 10, 2017
I am 82 years old and still love to duck hunt, but recently I have more difficulty determining the distance I have to set my decoys from my blind. My decoy location tells me how far away the ducks and geese are when I shoot. Since I will not shoot at ducks beyond 40 yards because there is too great a chance for wounding I use the furthest decoy as my shooting guide. I try to set my furthest decoy 35 yards out so when the duck or goose gets over that decoy I know it is in range and I can shoot. The Halo Rangefinder is excellent to determine the distance the guide decoy is set from my blind. Because I bought this rangefinder in July and the waterfowl season doesn't open until the end of September I won't know if it works as well as I want so I can't give a good review of the product until November. I will try to save this review and update it then. If you can send me an update to my review in November or December.

Great intro

by Durty, from FL, United States Written on February 16, 2017
This is a wonderful range finder for an ar weapon system. A great introduction to shooting tool for low cost. I used it for 300 yard shot and it was able to work great. It cannot zoom which is a draw back but for an ar or m4 you don't need more than this because the bullet will not travel further.
