I’ve had these glasses for about 2 months. They are crystal clear and comfortable. I use for driving and fishing, the polarization helps see a lot better. Came with very nice case and straps and cleaning cloth. I plan on getting another one in different color.
Pros:
- Comfortable
- Clear
- Cool look

Bought these to use for shooting and hunting. Found them so comfrotable that I switched to them for driving and then eventually using around the office too.
Best part: I was working on one of my trucks, doing the timing belt. At some point I took these glasses off and didn't realize that they fell between the radiator and outside cowl. Once I was done, I couldn't find these and thought I lost them for good.
Well, today, 7 months later, while doing another small fix on the same truck, I pulled these glasses out. They were exposed to vibration, heat from the radiator, road salt sand rocks, grime, sleet, ice, oil, car wash chemicals and everything in between. I pulled them, soaked in Dawn and they are good as new!
Highly recommend this product.

Wiley-X P-17's are great for outdoor activities. I needed glasses that would allow me to see better while trail-running. The Light Rust color really brings out the surface definition when under the forest canopy.

This was my second prescription glasses that i have ordered and received from optics planet. For the second time the prescription eye-wear customer service team was helpful in answering my questions and thorough in their followup with me to confirm i was getting the correct frame/lens for my needs. I got this pair for shooting and other outdoor needs as well as needing a pair of rated safety glasses. After receipt of the glasses i am more than pleased with the eye-wear. They are actually superb - everyday wearable sunglasses. For the shooting positions prone and barricade as well as transitions to new targets they offer a great field of vision and very clear lenses. In addition the safety rating should be addressed because it has according to WileyX "meets ANSI Z87.1-2010 High Velocity and High Mass Impact Standards as well as US Federal OSHA 1910.133(b)(1)(1) Standards". after looking those things up I found in short it means they have passed two tests. 1. - A lens retention test is conducted via a “high mass” impact. A pointed 500 gm (1.1 lb) projectile is dropped 50 inches onto the complete protector mounted on a headform. and 2- A high velocity test is conducted, at 6 specified impact points, where the projectile is a ¼ inch steel ball traveling at specific speeds depending upon the type of protector. For spectacles, the velocity is 150 ft/sec or 102 mph.
to sum up - The glasses are the real deal.

I don't have any issue with the frames; they're great. But the prescription is a little off. Not drastically; certainly not enough to go through the hassle of returning them and waiting 3 weeks for a replacement that may or may not be any better. But these definitely wouldn't meet the standards of my local optician. I've heard that adding a prescription to a curved lens is tricky, and now I know. Basically, everything looks just slightly out of focus with these on, but it's only really noticeable when I'm trying to read something. Since I only wear these when I'm driving or out hiking on a sunny day, I'll deal with it, but I can't say that I'm super happy with the product. Still, at $100+ cheaper than any similar product that I could find, it's not a bad deal. I'll just make sure that I always carry my regular glasses with me in case I need better focus on something.
Pros:
- Stylish
- comfortable,
- Durable.
- affordable price
Best Used for:
- Outdoor activities
- driving

Great Glasses! We have an Off-Road Jeep group www.olskool4x4.com in El Paso Texas and I use these Glasses for Rock-Crawling in the Desert. When I'm in the Jeep they take about 1 minute to change and I can see a lot better then using regular sun Glasses. Great Glasses....

This is the second pair of X P-17 prescription glasses ordered from Optics Planet. Customer service has been great to insure the prescription was done properly. The Wiley glasses are very durable and I would highly recommend them. I bought the transition lenses which allow me to shot both indoor and outside with no problem. I would recommend a second pair with polarized lenses for driving during the daytime since the transitions do not darken in the car.

Had P17's slightly over 12 month warranty and both lenses developed small hairline (brown polarized) cracks that were obvious manufacturing defect. Wiley would not stand behind them. Third and last pair of WX's for me!
Cons:
- Reliability
- Company support

I got this goggles for my long trips at Santa Barbara Mountains and they worked great with just a regular helmet, you don't need to use anything else all the dust and swet does go into your eyes with the protective cushion around the frame, great buy!!!
