This sight is for the pinned on front sight of a Ruger MK 11 which is far different from the new screwed on front sight. The rear sight is the same for both. I purchased the set as they were cheaper than a new stock rear sight alone. Fantastic in daylight and outdoors in general. Not quite as nice in the dimmer light of our indoor range as a fair bit of ambient light is required to illuminate the light tubes to a vivid glow.
Rear sight install was easy. Front sight was a job that you may want to get a pro to handle. I took a small brad nail and drifted the tiny pin out of the front sight base and then, with some difficulty, pulled the front sight blade out of the slot. The new front sight blade had to be filed a bit to fit the slot and when it was able to bottom out in the groove, a mark was made with a brad on the sight blade, which was then removed, drilled and replaced. The original pin was tight and secure. I am happy with the sights. Their appearance and function are as high a quality as what I would expect from Ruger, Colt or Smith.

Sights are very bright and well made. The sights went on a Ruger Mark11 with tapered barrel so gunsmith had to mount front sight due to drilling. Well worth cost of sight and gunsmith charge. I purchased sights from OpticsPlanet.com and was very pleased with fast free shipping.
