Most Helpful Positive Review Sight pusher
Picked this up simply because I didn't want to slip with a punch and do any damage to a Winny 9422xtr that I picked up used Looks like it was shot once and put away. There was a piece of wood shaving from the rear of the stock near the breach. It wasn't dirty at all and seems as tho they didn't clean it before shooting it as it still had grease in the receiverAnyway back to the sight Take your time in placing the tool along the barrel so as to align the pusher correctly .It probably wouldn't hurt to put some some off penetrating oil on It before hand Pushes it right out Just go slow After I d...

Basic sight drifter that works great. worked to adjust a couple sights as designed and to straighten a bent front sight. Took minutes in stead of hours. highly recommend.

No instructions

by Bill, from UT, United States Written on July 29, 2023
The tool was sent in a plastic baggie with no instructions. No papers enclosed, period. It looks solid, well made. But I never used one before and do not want to damage expensive sights. I want to change some of my sights. I am not able to do that.

Front sight pusher. Replacing front sight on 10/22

by Tod, from NH, United States Written on October 6, 2021
Just received my William's front sight pusher. First view it looked rugged enough to get the job done. Some minor discoloration due to surface rust on the plunger and stationery fingers. It took some time to get tool aligned with the front sight. Due to the tight tolerances,I had to use additional clamps to secure the pusher inplace. I used a heat gun to loosen any lock tight, and proceeded to use the tool. Many times I had to stop and realign the pushing rod. Upon removing the sight, the tool twisted and shaved off some of the sight base on the barrel. The the cut out on the pusher ram was a little short, causing it to hit the barrel thus leaving a slight mark on the barrel. The stationary fingers left wears marks on opposing side of barrel sight base. Lastly, the stock used for the "T" handle is to thin. Remedies, use some type of flat steel instead of roll pin to stop the pushing ram from twisting while turning the "T" HANDLE. lengthen the cut out so the ram doesent make contact with the barrel, Use stronger steel so the fingers could be manufactured with a larger toleranc And polish the burrs off all contact parts. Lastly a thicker rod on the "T" handle. Feel free to contact me.i will forward pics at your request
Pros:
  • Pricing,
Cons:
  • As described above
Best Used for:
  • Backyard enthusiasts

William's Front Sight Pusher

by J, from MI, United States Written on May 15, 2020
The best tool to use! For a ruger 10/22. It removed the front sight with ease. Better then using a punch and hammer. It Elemated the possibility of smashing a finger.i would highly recommend if a sight is difficult to remove.

Williams gun sight pusher

by Mike, from WA, United States Written on January 31, 2020
Very useful tool. Had to slightly modify to use on my 10-22 but worked great. Shipping was a little slow, but the snow and holidays interfered. The only one I found to able to use on my rifle and pistol front sights and most other dovetail devises.
