Wilson Combat A2 Birdcage Flash Hider
I had to do a review because I almost didn't purchase this due to some of the negative reviews. I bought one a couple years ago and it was excellent. It has a very nice finish, machined nicely, threads smooth, and in spite of some of the reviews, it does indeed come with a crush washer. I almost did...

Does not come with a crush washer
Nice flasher hider but it doesn't come with a crush washer. Now I have to hunt around for a crush washer. Poor description of item. I would have ordered a different one if it stated that........................
Works w/ Griffin GATE-LOK
Your standard A2 flash hider that does, in fact, INCLUDE the crush washer. It's competitively priced. There are cheaper options out there but the Wilson Combat flash hider is one of the few that repeatedly and consistently are listed as being 100% compatible with Griffin's GATE-LOK system. This is a big deal if you have multiple weapons and want to keep the classic look. In a world of $100 suppressor mounts, the savings add up fast.
Besides, despite all the excitement over all the newfangled brakes and flash hiders, the A2 still has incredible flash suppression performance. And who needs a brake on 5.56, really? Competitors, sure, but I'll bet most of those competitors aren't running suppressed.
In short, if you have a GATE-LOK mounting system or plan to, this is guaranteed to fit and only costs a couple bucks more than even the cheapest A2 bird cages out there that may or may not fit.

Griffin Match
If you use any Griffin Arma. QD locking devices, this muzzle device is the only A2 l found to provide the lockup necessary to confidently run my Griffin gear.
Pros:
- Fit
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- Griffin devices

Nice Wilson Combat A2 Birdcage, but no different than any other
I wanted and upgraded A2 Birdcage for my custom AR. This Muzzle device does come with a crush washer. Wilson Combat usually has really good products. This A2 birdcage muzzle device is really nice and works well. But it is no different than any other flash hider. And there is no Wilson Combat logo. Just a nice plain, jane flash hider. Also, it only took 3.5 months to arrive (on back order that whole time).

What I expected for a Birdcage
Typical A2 Birdcage. Nice finish, threads easily and is exactly what I expected for being under $10. You do need a separate crush washer as it does not come with one. It is 1 3/4" long 7/8" diameter at the tip and weighs just under 59g.
Pros:
- Inexpensive but well built
Cons:
- No crush washer
Best Used for:
- Barrels
