This tube IS the correct length for AR.308 in 6.5 creed and 308 Win regardless of what other review state.
Works with Faxon, Wilson Combat, Criterion barrels - no problems with Aero Precision, Wilson, Palmetto and other bolts.

This gas tube is too long for Aero M5 Upper
I have an Aero upper with Aero bolt for my build. Using an 18" rifle length gas barrel and this tube will not allow the bolt to close. It is roughly .375 too long. I guess you can either cut it down or do not use it with Aero parts. Looks like this one is now going on my shelf.

This gas tube is awesome for Wilson combat barrels. They use a quarter inch longer gas tube to get a better seal. I really like using all of their products in my builds. However, I don’t like things being proprietary.

The fact that the negative reviews are due to length and not quality is scary, some people shouldn't be building firearms themselves. This part has nothing to do with the upper receiver, it has to do with the barrel. Some barrel manufacturers use the proper AR10 length gas system, some use the shorter AR15 gas system, research which style your barrel uses. This is a high quality part, don't hesitate to buy if it is the proper length for your application. Remember there is no standard for AR308/SR25 parts like milspec AR15 parts, so make sure parts are compatible and always headspace!

Right piece for the build
I needed this item for my build. As it indicated this is designed for the Wilson Combat BCG. Use the other model of tube if you are using someone else's BCG.

There are much better barrels out there.
I’m sorry that I purchased this barrel. I have installed a handful of barrels and one property of a good barrel is that it cleans up with little effort. This barrel won’t come clean up. Even after a hours of work, the patches still show signs of copper and powder fouling. This is with starting level loads. I have Criterium barrels and Bartlein barrels that clean up with very little effort and shoot much better.

This tube works for AR10 platform rifles.
This tube works for AR10 platform rifles. It is a little longer for positive gas transfer, it will solve short stroking problem. If you are one of those complaining that it is too long, you probably shot your rifle with a shorter tube first, and now the carbon fouling is keeping your bolt from closing all the way. You will have to clean the carbon from the bolts staked gas tube for this to fit now. Remove the carbon, and it will fit! Duuhhh!

dont buy this
I bought this for an ar10 build got it when to put it in it was 1/4in to long thank goodness my friend had one we used not good q/c on their part so i would not buy this one i have herd bad things lately about this company gone down bad once was great

This is the one.
I am using these tubes for a couple builds using Aero M5 upper, Aero BCG, and a Faxon barrel. Another reviewer stated it was too long for an Aero M5 upper, ha! Due to Faxon being a little sloppy with the gas port location, this is the only one long enough to reach the middle of the cam cutout. Most manufacturers are selling AR15 length tubes (roughly 15.2", depending on manufacturer). They can work, if the gas port location is right, otherwise, you're building a single shot rifle. In my case, a "standard" (ha!) length tube barely reaches the front of the cam cutout, and the gun cycles too fast to strip the next round from the magazine. I will be buying a few more of these to keep in the stash box.
