After doing some research on materials, the company itself etc. I decided to give this Wolfpack Armory handguard a try for a new 6.5grendel build, and I can tell you now, they have a repeat customer.
The machining ● I couldnt find a single flaw. There were no sharp edges, all meticulously chamfered inside and out.
The coating ● All very uniform, no missed spots inside the slot cuts or inside the rail.
Fitment ● Top rail has 0 picatinny gap or side gap. All the lines matched up with my CMMG Mk4 upper. There was a tiny amount of rotational play where the anti rotational tabs are, but thats to be expected given different company tolerances (checked play prior to tightnening). Its very minimal. I wouldn't worry about it shifting. Looking down the upper there is no "curve" or off center look. Barrel is centered in the handgaurd.
The 2 cross bolts that tighten it to the barrel nut interface with a rectangle piece of forged steel that is tapped for the bolt threads allowing a consistent even pressure when torqued down. I could not get the rail to shift at all no matter much force I applied, even though it wouldnt barely move due to the anti rotational tabs.
I would without a doubt buy this handg...
