Most Helpful Positive Review Good chassis, great for the money
I highly recommend this chassis system and stock combination. Installation went okay, youll need a long allen key bit if you play on using a wheeler fat wrench to torque down your action screws. Other than that small hiccup installation was a breeze. The included ergo tactical deluxe grip that came included with the chassis is the best if ever used and is going on all my rifles and any future builds. The tactical light stock that comes on the chassis is great, it is very easy to get setup to your exact body specifications. I had a chance to do some shooting with cold weather gear and the rifle...

Best bang for your buck!

I have always wondered about chassis systems but never tried them out until now. This one went on a Remington 700 5r gen 2 300 win mag and replaced an HS precision stock. The HS precision is a great stock but the one that came on this rifle was a little too close to the barrel for my liking. I researched a ton of chassis systems and ultimately settled on this one for the price. You won't find a better quality chassis for the price with everything this one comes with. I noticed a huge improvement in how the rifle handles which translated into better accuracy. The pistol grip and adjustable cheek weld helped me get the rifle set up exactly where it needed to be and I don't have to worry about sponges and tape or any of the things you have to do with other fixed stocks.
The chassis is well balanced and not too heavy or too light. It's slightly heavier than the HS precision but you won't notice laying down with it. It's very stable and designed to use a bag, you just pull it closer or push it away under the stock to adjust elevation. I used the magpul acs-l magnum mags and they work great in this chassis. The butt pad helps mitigate recoil very well, even with the 300 win mag, lesser calibers will be really easy to handle. The only thing that I can see as a potential negative is the padding on the cheek rest. It works well but tends to hold on to dust and anything else that comes into contact with it. It is comfortable and I'd rather have it than not but it likes to col...

High quality for a budget entry chassis system

XLR hit this one out of the park. You can tell a company cares a lot about it's product when they put just as much care into the packaging as they do the product itself. The finish on the Element is outstanding and I couldn't find any rough finishes anywhere on the chassis. They did a great job smoothing everything out leaving me with little worries when installing my barrel into the rig which took no time at all. I also love the cutout in the trigger guard for those aftermarket triggers. For those wondering, a Timney 510 for the Remington 700 AAC/SD short action chambered in .308 will fit in here perfectly fine with no need to file anything down. Great job XLR for the ease of installation! This was huge in my book.

The Stock - to adjust this to your perfect comb height and length of pull, get a friend to hold the screwdriver ready to tighten the screws while you lay behind your rifle to find the perfect alignment with your rifle. I couldn't do this easily by myself, but that doesn't really bother me too much. This isn't meant to be adjusted each time you take the rifle out, it's meant to custom fit the owner. I don't knock XLR for this and honestly, once this thing is setup for how you like it, you won't be disappointed. The stock holds true and I don't have any concerns of the screws coming loose anytime soon.

I wish I could rate this at a 4.5/.5 instead of a 4, but the lack of a QD attachment in the fore-end of the chassis (which they have already built into the stock of...
